Our Associate program is a paid opportunity that allows participants to contribute to the organization’s success while applying learning from the classroom. This semester will be fully in-person. Associates are responsible for their individual transportation and housing needs.
Associate Expectations:
Associates are expected to work 24-29.9 hours per week during the session. While assigned to a specific division, they will have opportunities to learn about other areas within Excel through lunch and learns held throughout the semester.
Important Dates:
Our Summer Program runs from Monday, June 2nd, 2025 through Friday, August 22nd, 2025
Office Hours:
- 8:00 am‐5:00 PM PST, Monday-Friday OR as agreed upon with advisor. Days in office must be coordinated with Advisor’s schedules.
Our Associates must:
- Be available to work under 30 hours per week.
- Be available to report to Irvine office approximately 3-days a week.
- Have a senior standing in college (must have completed your junior year of undergrad).

- Be enrolled in graduate school
OR
- Have a Bachelor’s or Postgraduate degree
Interview Process:
- Applications will close on April 25th, 2025
- If selected, the expectation is that offers will be extended end of April/early May.
- The program will begin on June 2nd, 2025.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Support the day-to-day management of Excel Sports Management (ESM) Football clients
- Build and maintain positive client relationships that result in enhanced partnerships and increased ESM opportunities
- Support the development of creative platforms and new consumer engagement activations across current and future client sponsorship opportunities
- Plan and support client status calls which include scheduling, preparing agendas, and creating/maintaining status documents
- Support the Excel Football Team by providing on-going client updates
- Support teammates across the group to ensure flawless client-service and a second-to-none agency experience
- Lead preparation for weekly internal calls by developing an agenda
- Provide weekly internal activity reports to the Football Team
- Support during the NFL Combine training period with client servicing, including managing daily and monthly schedules for the draft class and agents
The pay for this position is $16.50 per hour. Please note that the foregoing compensation information is a good-faith assessment associated with this position only and is provided pursuant to the California and New York City Salary Transparency Law.
