The Harker School is seeking substitute nurses to provide coverage for our full-time school nurses when they are away. This is a flexible, as-needed opportunity, with assignments ranging from a few hours to several days across our K–12 campuses.
The substitute nurse plays an important role in supporting the health, safety and well-being of our students. While on assignment, the substitute nurse will manage the daily responsibilities of the school health office, including evaluating and caring for students who become ill or injured, administering medications as appropriate and occasionally providing care to employees.
This is a great opportunity for a registered nurse who is looking to pick up additional hours around another job or personal commitments, gain experience working with children and adolescents, or explore school nursing as a potential future career.
For full-day assignments, substitute nurses will receive a one-hour lunch break.
