Subject Matter Expert – Wholesale Trade & Logistics - English/Mandarin – Remote

We are looking for experienced Wholesale Trade and Logistics professionals to support a cutting-edge AI benchmarking project focused on international trade, customs operations, cross-border logistics, and global supply chain environments. As a Subject Matter Expert, you will create and review realistic, high-quality scenarios that reflect import/export operations, customs compliance, freight forwarding, trade documentation, transportation management, supply chain coordination, and client relationship challenges across international commerce. Your expertise will help ensure AI systems understand and respond accurately within the complexities of China's international trade and logistics ecosystem.

• Design realistic Wholesale Trade and Logistics scenarios in Mandarin (Simplified Chinese) or English, grounded in Chinese operational contexts (e.g., import/export documentation, customs clearance, Incoterms application, freight coordination, international transportation, trade compliance, warehouse operations, supply chain planning, etc.).

• Adapt structured evaluation rubrics for logistics problem-solving, customs and trade compliance, customer communication, transportation management, shipment coordination, and international trade operations.

• Review AI- and human-generated responses for factual accuracy, regulatory compliance, operational feasibility, logistics best practices, and customer service quality.

• Contribute to "gold standard" solutions reflecting best practices across Chinese international trade, customs brokerage, freight forwarding, supply chain management, and global logistics operations.

• Native-level Mandarin (Simplified Chinese) with strong professional English proficiency.

• 5+ years of professional experience in International Trade, Logistics, Customs, Supply Chain Management, Freight Forwarding, Import/Export Operations, or Global Trade Compliance.

• Strong understanding of Chinese import/export regulations, customs procedures, international shipping documentation, Incoterms, tariff classification, trade compliance, transportation management, supply chain operations, and cross-border commerce.

• Requires reliable availability and commitment. Once you accept a task, we expect quality work and on-time delivery. Most tasks require a minimum of 2 hours per day or 10 hours per week. If your schedule is unpredictable, this may not be the right fit.

• Geographic restrictions may apply. We cannot engage contractors in regions subject to international embargo or sanctions. As a 1099 contractor, you are solely responsible for your own tax obligations. We recommend consulting a tax professional before engaging.
