You will shape curriculum and subjects for a new fully online Master of Counselling launching in 2026.You will teach and coordinate online subjects, and support educators to deliver engaging, practice-relevant learning experiences. 

What you will deliver: 

  • Design and refine online Master of Counselling curriculum in partnership with academic leaders and Melbourne Online specialists. 

  • Develop, coordinate and review online subject content, ensuring high quality, coherent learning experiences across the degree. 

  • Teach counselling subjects online and supervise, mentor and support online educators contributing to the program. 

  • Ensure subject delivery, assessment and academic integrity comply with departmental, University and professional accreditation requirements. 

  • Contribute to departmental governance, planning, policy development and community partnerships that strengthen the program’s impact. 
     

You may be a great fit if you: 

  • Hold a Master of Counselling or equivalent and meet eligibility requirements for ACA membership. 

  • Bring experience designing and developing counselling, social work or human services curricula, particularly for online delivery. 

  • Demonstrate successful teaching and coordination of counselling subjects, with evidence of innovation and flexibility in online modes. 

  • Exhibit strong organisational skills, managing multiple tasks and deadlines while maintaining high academic and service standards. 

  • Build effective relationships with diverse stakeholders, collaborating to achieve shared program and departmental goals. 

  • Show clear commitment to equity, diversity, inclusion and reconciliation within teaching, curriculum and professional practice.
