Position Purpose: The Subcontracts Administrator I will support the management and administration of subcontracts and supplier relationships for Blue Canyon Technology customer programs. This role will assist with supplier sourcing, requests for proposals (RFPs), proposal evaluations, negotiations, and subcontract administration throughout the supplier life cycle. The position will also support category-specific supplier management, monitor supplier performance, and help ensure contractual requirements are met.

Job Responsibilities:
- Support the execution and management of category-specific, low-complexity subcontracts for space segment and subsystem requirements under the guidance of Senior Subcontracts Administrators.
- Support all aspects of subcontract execution, including solicitation, proposal evaluation, award, administration, modification, and closeout.
- Assist with developing and maintaining supplier relationships and aligning supplier capabilities with program and mission requirements.
- Support supplier performance tracking, risk assessments, and corrective actions to ensure compliance with subcontract requirements.
- Prepare and review subcontract documents, Bills of Material (BOMs), Statements of Work (SOWs), and related documentation to support accurate subcontract placement.
- Support supplier sourcing activities, including RFQs/RFPs, proposal evaluations, and value analysis of cost/price, technical capability, financial viability, and schedule.
- Assist with negotiations of pricing, delivery schedules, and standard Terms and Conditions for low-risk subcontracts.
- Identify and communicate supplier risks and opportunities and support the development of mitigation strategies in coordination with the Subcontract Management Team and technical leads.
- Support the management of supplier contractual performance throughout the subcontract lifecycle and assist in resolving supplier performance issues.
- Escalate complex contractual, technical, schedule, or commercial issues to Senior Subcontracts Administrators as appropriate.
- Represent Supply Chain Management on cross-functional teams and develop effective working relationships with suppliers, customers, and internal stakeholders.
- Perform subcontract administration and management activities, including modifications, funding management, spend-plan tracking, milestone payment plans, cash-flow monitoring, and variance tracking.
- Review subcontractor invoices for accuracy and compliance and support invoice approval and payment processes.
- Support Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) activities and review Prime Contract modifications for applicability to subcontract requirements.
- Ensure all business is conducted in accordance with the highest ethical standards and applicable laws, regulations, company policies, and directives.
- Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
- Support continuous improvement of supply chain processes, procedures, and tools.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Required Qualifications/Education:
- 0–3 years of related experience in Supply Chain, Procurement, Contracts, or Subcontracts.
- Experience supporting procurement or subcontract activities in an aerospace, defense, government, or other regulated industry preferred.
- Experience with firm-fixed-price and/or cost-type subcontracts preferred.
- Experience supporting DoD and/or NASA programs preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Procurement, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- Ability to effectively communicate, collaborate, and work as part of a cross-functional team.
- Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Familiarity with engineering drawings, specifications, Statements of Work, Bills of Material, or other technical documentation preferred.
- Basic knowledge of FAR/DFARS requirements preferred; ability to develop working knowledge of applicable regulations.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to support negotiations and communicate effectively with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Ability to learn and apply subcontract management processes, procedures, and applicable contractual requirements.
- Prior aerospace and defense subcontract or procurement experience preferred.
- Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education.
Working Conditions:
This job operates in a professional office environment, but in a manufacturing company. This role uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, scanners, filing cabinets and fax machines.
