We are currently seeking a Subcontract Engineer, reporting directly to Head of Subcontracts Department to join our Subcontracting team based in Nanterre, France.
Join our team and contribute to the successful development, tendering, and management of subcontracts within a dynamic and international project environment. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex construction and energy projects, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and supporting all stages of the subcontract lifecycle.Key Responsibilities
- Support the subcontract development process from strategy through award.
- Source, qualify, and manage bidders, including preparation and issuance of bidder lists.
- Prepare and issue calls for tenders, addendums, and tender clarifications.
- Estimate construction manhours and support cost assessments.
- Conduct technical and commercial clarifications with bidders.
- Prepare final bid tabulations and support evaluation processes.
- Participate in negotiations, subcontract formation, and formal award activities.
- Prepare feedback and statistical reports, including cost, manhours, productivity, quantities, and rework rates, in line with corporate guidelines.
- Ensure effective field administration of subcontracts, including change order and back-charge management, as well as subcontract closeout.
- Support tendering for additional field subcontracts as required.
Profile
- Engineering diploma in Civil Engineering, General Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in contract/subcontract management or tendering, preferably within the oil & gas or energy sector.
- Strong technical curiosity and openness to learning new engineering topics.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
- Comfortable working in multicultural and complex organizational environments.
- Proactive, initiative- driven and able to propose innovative ideas.
- Capable of working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines.
- Open to potential expatriation to a construction site later in your career.
