Job Summary:

Under moderate supervision, the Administrative Assistant (Study Start Up) performs routine administrative and clerical tasks such as file organization, preparing reports or correspondense. Provides administrative support to ensure efficient operations of the office and/or department.


Essential Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Answers phone calls and directs them to the appropriate person or department.
  • Receives and directs visitors and clients.
  • May make travel and meeting arrangements.
  • Prepares reports and maintains filing systems.
  • Handles requests for information and data.
  • Performs general clerical duties such as photocopying, faxing, mailing, and data entry.
  • Resolves administrative problems and inquiries. Escalates issues to managers and leaders as needed.
  • Communicates effectively with colleagues and customers.
  • Supports and ensures strictest adherence to best practices, FDA Code of Federal Regulations, ICH (International Conference on Harmonization), GCP (Good Clinical Practices), CenExel standard operating procedures, site working Practices, protocol, and company guidelines and policies.
  • Assumes other duties and responsibilities as assigned. The above responsibilities are a general description of the level and nature of the work assigned to this classification and are not to be considered as all inclusive.

Education/Experience/Skills:

  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • 0-1 year of related experience.
  • Ability to work independently and multi-task.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Microsoft Teams.
  • Professional image, upholding the company vision in actions, demeanor, and appearance.

 

Working Conditions

  1. Indoor, Office environment.
  2. Essential physical requirements include sitting, typing, and standing.
  3. Sedentary position, occasional lifting of up to 10 pounds
  4. Reporting to work, as scheduled, is essential.
  5. On-site work arrangement.
