Job DescriptionStudio Stream Ops Engineer: SoulCycle - in partnership with Equinox Media - has a unique opportunity for an NYC area live stream operating engineer to round out a female-led team that brings the SoulCycle class experience to life on our digital streaming platform for subscribers to EQX+ App and owners of the https://www.equinoxplus.com/bike. This role blends technical acumen with creative expression and is perfect for someone looking to expand their live stream experience with an emphasis on lighting design and audio mixing. The Studio Stream Ops Engineer will work with the team that live-edits cycling classes that air Monday thru Friday. This is an open-ended and ongoing project with a rate of $20 per hour and a guarantee of 20 hours per week. Hourly commitment is required during morning hours Monday thru Friday and operates out of offices in The West Village in Manhattan.
Responsibilities:
- Operate and assist in managing Live class load from pre-to-post-production, including technical operating, managing talent, and preparing production space.
- Troubleshoot issues with technical equipment and software that is used to broadcast live Studio Stream classes.
- Lead in management of the Studio space, overseeing cleaning and maintenance of studio, guest rider liaising, and documentation of inventory of necessary equipment and supplies to maintain studio needs.
- Assist with post-production and media management responsibilities such as uploading footage, pulling thumbnail imagery, and tracking metadata.
- Respond to operation learnings and make suggestions on technical improvements.
- Knowledge of ATEM software control systems and OBS streaming software.
- Basic understanding of digital audio mixers
- Level of technical know-how to assess and address technical issues that may arise.
- Interest and ability to learn and adapt.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Interest or Familiarity with the SoulCycle brand is a plus.
- Theater, concert or other creative experience is a plus.
- Personable and able to interact with Instructor Talent
Pay Transparency: $20/hr , this role is 20 hours per week and operates out of the West Village office.
