The Democratic National Committee is looking for a studio engineer to support the DNC’s in-house studio operation. The ideal candidate for this role has experience operating a control room in a professional studio or live production environment.
Candidates should be comfortable working independently and alongside a team of video and digital professionals in an ever-changing environment.
This role will report directly to the DNC’s studio director.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and operate the studio’s control room during video shoots and live broadcasts
- Maintain and troubleshoot issues with the studio’s audio/video hardware and software
- Help oversee equipment updates to the studio
- Effectively communicate technical issues to the studio team
- Assist with general upkeep of the studio space
Requirements:
- Deep knowledge of video equipment, including cameras, lenses, lights, microphones, monitors, converters, and teleprompters
- Familiarity with Sony cameras such as the FX6
- Familiarity with Zoom
- Familiarity with livestreaming tools such as vMix and Hovercast
- Familiarity with scheduling and streaming video to multiple social media endpoints
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects at once
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, especially Premiere
The starting salary for the Studio Engineer position is $65,000 on an annualized basis, commensurate with experience and qualifications.This is a full-time, exempt position that may require work on weekends, and has an end date of November 13, 2026. This position is in the bargaining unit represented by SEIU Local-500.
