Student Extern - Marketing

Your Role 

As a Summer Student Extern – Marketing in Gensler’s San Diego office, you will join a dynamic studio environment shadowing architects, interior designers, and marketing professionals on creative projects. This is a paid (2 days per week / 3 hours per day) afternoon externship program running from June 16th through July 11th, 2025.  

What You Will Do 

• Website update on Gensler.com SD office page (organizing content on a word document - new projects, selecting new renderings) --> should take two weeks to complete

• InDesign training

• Mock Case Stories (in word)

• Social media 101 (making reels)

• Office photography

• Attend a Photoshoot

Your Qualifications 

• You are currently enrolled in a local San Diego area high school with a strong interest in marketing within the architecture and design industry.

• You will have completed your junior year of high school. This externship is not for recently graduated high school students.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Adobe InDesign. 

Your Additional Characteristics 

• Demonstrated leadership ability in school and/or community. 

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task.  

• Strong verbal, written, and graphic communication skills. 

• Resourceful, self-motivated, enthusiastic team player. 

• Outstanding analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills. 

*This is a paid externship at the rate of either $24 per hour based upon skillset and year completed in school.*
