WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT TO US

SimCorp’s Team Corporate and Commercial, Group Legal supports the global SimCorp organization in legal matters. We are looking for a skilled and committed student who can work closely together with the team to support us in providing advice in a commercial and exciting environment to make the SimCorp business even more succеssful.

You will be joining Team Corporate and Commercial in  Group Legal and Contract Management . Group Legal and Contract Managementalready has 4 student assistants. You will have plenty of opportunities to work together with both the students and the lawyers of the team.

We also work closely together with employees from other parts of the organization, including employees in our procurement team, executive management team and local managers.

We take pride in contributing to the growth of SimCorp with high quality work, but we also have a very collaborative way of working together where humor is always a big part of our cooperation.

Employees can meet up in SimCorp’s own very popular Fridаy bаr and students throughout the house also meet up on a regular basis in their own community.

The workload is 15-20 hours/week with flexible working hours during exam periods.

WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

SimCorp’s legal team supports the global SimCorp organization in legal matters. We are looking for a skilled and committed student who can work closely together with the team to support us in providing advice in a commercial and exciting environment to enable the SimCorp business to operate even more efficiently.

The job will have a focus on assisting on corporate matters and commercial contracts but will also consist of a mix between legal tasks and more administrative tasks as further described below:

• Assist on corporate matters such as establishment of new legal entities and merge or liquidate existing legal entities.
• Assist on change of board- and management members in the +35 legal entities across the world.
• Assist with collecting information and filling in KYC forms and due diligence forms.
• Collect signatures on corporate documents.
• Read through and mark up non-disclosure agreements.
• Read through and mark up vendor agreements.

WHAT WE VALUE

As our ideal candidate you:

• Are a second- or third-year student of law (ba.jur) or business administration and commercial law (ha.jur.)
• Have experience with corporate and contract law
• Have skills or interest for working with corporate law in a global and complex company structure
• Are good at organizing and planning
• Are curious and able to quickly grasp new concepts
• Have proficient English communication skills, both verbally and in writing, as SimCorp’s corporate language is English
• Are able to manage tasks on your own, but enjoy being part of a team
• Have a good sense of humоr
