Job description

Your overall responsibility as a Student Assistant at Syntese is to support the Finance & Procurement organization in day-to-day operations, month-end closing as well as strategic decision-making processes that impact the company profitability. You will be directly reporting to the Head of Finance, Procurement & Supply Chain and working as the right hand of the Financial Controllers and the Procurement Manager.

The role offers many opportunities to contribute with process improvements, productivity enhancements and BI optimizations. The role also provides significant opportunities to support the business and develop your Finance skills. You will be seen as an important part of the team with your own independent tasks and deliverables from day one.

As a Student Assistant in Finance & Procurement, you will be a part of a team of 4 senior employees and be a business partner to the rest of the organization. The role requires analytical understanding, stakeholder management skills as well a strong business acumen.

Your day at the office

Assist the team on executing the long term strategy aligned with financial goals Support the procurement strategy including contract and legal support Act as an active business partner to purchase requesters Be the bridge between the Purchase-to-Pay and local Finance teams Assist the Head of Finance in updating monthly reporting decks Support the team with ad-hoc data analysis and modelling

Job requirements

Studying or graduated from a Bachelor’s in Business, Accounting, Finance or similar Professional working proficiency in English language Experience with basic finance and accounting principles Analytical mindset and being able to learn new systems and programs Strong communication and time management skills Work independently with the ability to influence international stakeholders
