Boeing Defense, Space, and Security (BDS) Company is looking for Structures & Payload Design Engineers to become part of the AH-64 Apache Airframe Integrated Product Team (IPT) in Mesa, AZ.

The Airframe IPT is a multi-functional Engineering Organization with a mission statement to provide engineering solutions via a highly skilled workforce for the advancement of the AH-64 Apache Helicopter. The Airframe IPT provides engineering support to various projects/programs and is a flexible team that strategically adapts to emerging opportunities.
Daily tasks include design work, 3D CAD model generation, and product data management systems work for structural components, structural hardware, assemblies, and installations. This will include a mix of model-based definition and traditional drawing generation. The selected candidate will interface with adjacent engineering functions to include stress analysis, materials and processes, manufacturing, procurement, quality, safety, systems and verification. Designs will comply with customer requirements, including typical release processes and signature cycle approvals.
The selected candidate will support supplier development, testing, and production activities, collaborating closely with suppliers to optimize designs and achieve program objectives.
Position Responsibilities:
- Engineering support and project leadership within an Integrated Product Team.
- Ability to communicate professionally across multiple organizations and/or throughout all levels of leadership.
- Develop, maintain, and modify basic structural component designs, using 3-D Computer Aided Design (CAD) tools and/or other design methods, to provide product definition to other engineering groups, production operations, suppliers and external customers throughout the product lifecycle.
- Develop solutions to a variety of technical problems.
- Perform tests to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications.
- Assist with supplier development, test and production activities, and coordination with the supplier to optimize the design and achieve program goals.
- Support investigation of emerging technologies to develop concepts for future product designs to meet projected requirements
- Works under general to minimal direction.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Mid-Level (Level 3) - Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Engineering Technology), Computer Science, Engineering Data Science, Mathematics, Physics or Chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
- Senior (Level 4) - Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), computer science, engineering data science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Experience leading a cross-functional team.
- Prior work experience supporting the AH-64 Apache attack helicopter and/or the AH-6 Little Bird helicopter.
- Experience in structural design process from conceptual layout phase through build to package release.
- NX CAD and Teamcenter PDM skills.
- Knowledge of structural design principles for aircraft primary and secondary structure
- Ability and willingness to travel 10% of the time domestically and internationally.
- Conflict of Interest - Successful candidates for this job must satisfy the company's Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process.

Summary Pay Range:
- Experienced (P3): $103,700 - $140,300
- Senior (P4): $126,650 - $171,350
