Join our Satellite Structures team as a Structural Design Intern. You’ll support the design,
analysis, and integration of lightweight aerospace structures, contributing to the robustness
and manufacturability of GalaxEye’s satellites.
Responsibilities
● Assist in structural design, CAD modeling, and preliminary sizing.
● Support FEA simulations (static, dynamic, vibration) under guidance.
● Contribute to payload enclosure and satellite structure optimization.
● Prepare engineering drawings, documentation, and reports.

Requirements
Must-have Qualifications
● Final-year student (4th year) or recent graduate in Mechanical, Aerospace or related domains.
● Strong foundation in mechanics of materials, structural dynamics, and fatigue
analysis.
● Proficiency in CAD tools, specifically SolidWorks.
● Exposure to FEA software (Simcenter Nastran, ANSYS, Abaqus, or equivalent) is a
plus.
● Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Good-to-have
● Prior project or internship experience in structural design/analysis.
● Experience as part of student project teams (SAE, Aero Design, Robotics,
CubeSat, Formula Student).
● Knowledge of aerospace materials and manufacturing processes (machining,
composites, bonding).
● Familiarity with GD&T and drawing standards.
● Interest in aerospace qualification standards and testing methods.
