Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Follow established safety rules, policies and procedures at all times
- Develop corrugated industrial, graphic packaging and POP display prototype samples based on project requirements customer expectations
- Develop detailed specifications to efficiently utilize our manufacturing and fulfillment capabilities
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams resources during research, ideation, evaluation and validation stages of all design solutions
- Stay current with industry and market trends and identify opportunities for new products and packaging solutions
- Verify incoming tooling ensuring specifications are met according to approved and supplied dielines
- Generate detailed display specifications (including material, production info, label lines, multi-outs, etc.) and validate specifications of other Structural Designers for overall accuracy
- Interface fully with Customers, Account Executives, Customer Service and Project Managers through the design and execution process
- Accompany Account Executives on design-related meetings and presentations as needed
- Develop distribution and in-store setup instruction sheets for retail packaging and displays
- Initiate action to prevent problems and contribute solutions, document quality problems, verify implementation of solutions and control further processing when a problem is identified
- Maintain, organize and update customer records. Keep work area clean and well organized
- Personify a “Team Attitude” and provide support to others as needed
- Understand and interpret documents such as packaging design specifications, operating instructions, training and procedure manuals
- Must work well under pressure with multiple interruptions and be able to meet deadlines
- Create, adjust and prepare art files for a wide array of printing methods
- Full-time role in an office/design department setting
- Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
- 5+ years’ experience in structural packaging design – corrugated or display industries
- College degree in Structural Design, Package Engineering/Packaging Science or Industrial Design from an accredited institution or equivalent experience
- Working knowledge of ArtiosCAD software, including parametric designs
- Experience with the following:
- CAPE design and palletization software
- Operating sample table cutting devices (i.e. Kongsberg tables)
- Display and/or retail ready packaging design development
- Package testing and methodologies (UN, ISTA, etc.)
- Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, SolidWorks and Strata 3D is a plus
- Good knowledge and grasp on available printing methods currently in the market
Travel Requirements:
- Little to none, less than 10%
