THE ORGANIZATION:

Net Community Care is a division of Northeast Treatment Centers (NET), a non-profit organization serving the Philadelphia region. As a designated Community Umbrella Agency (CUA) for the Department of Human Services, Net Community Care operates CUA1 and CUA7, providing comprehensive child welfare services focused on safety, permanency, and family well-being. Grounded in trauma-informed care and cultural humility, Net Community Care works to stabilize families, support youth development, and ensure children can grow in safe, nurturing, and permanent homes. The organization is committed to strengthening communities through collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning.

SUMMARY:

Strengthening Family Coordinators provide support to the overall CUA team. The focus is on working toward the target goals of improving safety, permanency, and well-being of children, youth, and families. The team supports the community’s needs, develops & maintains a network of key community leaders and stakeholders while serving as the primary point of contact between the CUA and the community members within the designated geographic region. Coordinate and support family and community outreach, promote the programs and services offered by the CUA, and provide guidance and feedback to CUA leadership to help address the unique issues, concerns, and needs of the community. Support the planning of community programming, such as: Parent Cafes, Parent Engagement Activities and Training.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

· Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or related field including but not limited to: Sociology, Psychology, Counseling, Criminal Justice, Education, Divinity, or Public Health

· Minimum of 2 years work experience in a position that involves working in child, youth, and family serving systems

· Candidates with a Bachelor's Degree in an unrelated field require a minimum of 3 years experience working in child, youth, and family serving systems

· Ability to use computers with proficient skill in using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

· Knowledge of child and family service systems

· Knowledge of social work values and/or child welfare services

· Valid Driver’s License (issued by state in which employee lives) and safe driving record and proof of insurance coverage

· Other duties as assigned

ESSENTIAL POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

· Free from contagious disease/infection

· Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance

· Criminal Check Clearance

· Mental Health Assessment, if necessary

· Substance Assessment, if necessary

· Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and community members

· Ability to identify, create, and foster community relationships and partnerships

· Self-starter, ability to work both autonomously and in groups

· Must be flexible and willing to change work schedule to accommodate client

· Must have strong communication skills both written and verbal

· May be required to use own vehicle when other means of transportation are unavailable.

· Able to respond to Aon-call@ rotation responsibilities without incurring difficulty

· Attend and complete all training mandated by DHS and designated by NET

· Must demonstrate genuine empathy and concern for individuals as indicated in our corporate vision, mission and values statements.

· Adhere to applicable city, county, state and federal laws and regulations, internal and CARF standards.

ESSENTIAL POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: (and other duties as assigned)

· Function as part of the larger CUA team responsible for achieving the target goals of improving safety, permanency, and well-being of children, youth, and families

· Act as the coordinator of Parent Cafes, Community Events, and Workshops

· Facilitate Parent Cafes and other support groups.

· Develop, maintain, and strengthen community linkages and partnerships with service providers, schools, faith-based organizations, and local leaders.

· Train Facilitators, Parent Leaders, and Parent Cafe Hosts

· Utilize social media and digital platforms to expand outreach, increase program visibility, and engage families.

· Work with the Community Liaison in establishing community connections and sustainable partnerships

· Recruit quality Parent Leaders

· Navigate Social Media, Linktree, Zoom, Google and Canva

· Support the Community Advisory Board

· Maintain accurate reporting and documentation of activities, trainings, outreach efforts, and participation in accordance with agency and DHS guidelines.

· Prepare regular reports for internal leadership and external stakeholders highlighting outcomes, engagement levels, and community impact.

· Collaborate with Case Management and Community Engagement teams to ensure coordinated family and community supports.

· Attend and complete all required DHS and NET trainings.

· Attend Court Hearings as needed but never in lieu of the CUA CM

· Document activity they have performed within six business days using the CUA-prescribed form
