About the Role/Responsibilities
Creating/Increasing WHYY Brand Awareness – Generating excitement through word of-mouth marketing, live brand awareness through direct community engagements.
Promotions & Outreach – Distributing programming cards, QR codes, events notices and other WHYY promotional materials in high-traffic areas to raise awareness about WHYY’s memberships, educational programs, events and programming, events and other initiatives.
Engaging with the Public – Interacting directly with people to educate them on WHYY’s objective and mission, ensuring a personal touch that digital ads can’t replicate.
Driving Attendance, Memberships and Participation – Encouraging people to attend events, sign up for programs, memberships and engage with what WHYY has to offer.
Gathering Feedback – Collecting public opinions or insights that can help shape future WHYY campaigns.
WHYY Street team staff would serve as the first point of contact between our organization and the public, answering questions, engaging with community members, and providing key information about memberships, events, programming as well as other initiatives.
QualificationsSkills

Excellent communication skills – must have the ability to speak well, be an active listener and have the understanding what people are saying and respond effectively. Must be comfortable speaking with strangers.

Brand Knowledge – Either have or commit to obtaining a fairly through working knowledge of the WHYY organization.

Time Management – Sticking to schedules and maximizing outreach.

Adaptability – Adjusting to different locations and community audiences.

Basic Tech Skills – Posses the ability to answer email, send email, and use an iPad.

Teamwork – Coordinating and working well with others to achieve engagement goals effectively.

Preference will be given to candidates who have a valid PA driver's license.
Skills Required
