The opportunity:
This role sits at the heart of Hitachi Energy’s Service transformation journey: where strategy meets execution. As a Strategic Project Manager within the Service organization, you will play a pivotal role in translating ambitious global strategies into tangible business outcomes across regions, business units, and customer segments. You will operate in a highly dynamic, international environment, working closely with global stakeholders to implement digital service programs, improve installed base intelligence, and unlock new value streams. The role offers a unique vantage point across the Service business, enabling you to influence how we evolve from a traditional service provider to a data-driven, customer-centric lifecycle partner. You will work alongside experienced professionals across strategy, operations, and digital domains, where ideas are encouraged, ownership is expected, and results are visible. How you'll make an impact:
Establish, run and continuously optimize the Management Operating Rhythm for Strategy & Innovation, ensuring focus, prioritization, and disciplined follow-through, assist the Strategy & Innovation leader with coordination, execution tracking and reporting across all reporting cycles: Group, BU, Executive, Steering Committee, and BU Strategy Quarterly.
Translate complex, multi-dimensional concepts into clear insights and narratives that are board- and executive level ready.
Coordinate and support the strategic planning and MMP process for the Service Business Unit in line with corporate frameworks and timelines.
Integrate inputs from regions, functions, and leadership into coherent strategic stories, priorities, and execution roadmaps, ensure strategic plans translate into executable initiatives and measurable outcomes.
Support the Strategy & Innovation leadership in shaping and advancing growth, efficiency, digital, and portfolio transformation initiatives, help structure and maintain a focused, prioritized pipeline of strategic and innovation topics, ensuring resource and leadership bandwidth is applied to highest‑value areas.
Contribute to framing, assessment, and acceleration of new business models, partnerships, and digitally enabled service offerings.
Develop fact‑based insights, executive dashboards, and synthesis materials to support strategic discussions and decisions, conduct high‑level financial, market, and competitive analyses as inputs to leadership forums. Ensure leadership conversations are anchored in clear, concise, and decision‑relevant information.
Operate effectively at senior level within a global, matrixed organization, engaging leaders across functions, regions, and cultures, drive disciplined ways of working, clarity of ownership, and effective communication across the Strategy & Innovation ecosystem. Act as a trusted thought partner to Strategy & Innovation leadership, combining strategic judgment with execution rigor.
You will be responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your background:
Master’s degree in business, Engineering, Economics, or related field (MBA preferred).
12 to 15+ years of experience in strategy, management operations, consulting, or corporate development roles.
Demonstrated ability to operate at senior executive and Board interface level.
Proven experience managing complex, multi‑initiative portfolios in a global matrix environment.
Experience in industrial, energy, or services‑led organizations strongly preferred.
Key Competencies: Strategic Vision , Leadership , Customer Focus , Analytical Thinking , Results Orientation.
