SUMMARY:

Placer.ai is looking for a best-in-class Strategy & Operations (Senior) Manager who will be critical for owning and driving not just strategy, but implementation of key initiatives throughout the business. This team is one of the most trusted executive partners in the business, and works on high visibility, cross-functional, and complex projects. You will have significant autonomy and the ability to grow alongside a fast growing team and business. 

A successful candidate will be highly strategic, analytical, resourceful, customer-focused, team-oriented, and will have an ability to work under time constraints to meet deadlines. We are looking for someone with a proven track record of managing multiple projects independently while being creative and innovative to help drive Placer’s growth.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Strategy: 

• Identify, evaluate and help prioritize new short, medium, and long-term growth opportunities
• Evaluate competitive landscape and develop strategy to address ongoing changes in the market

Operations: 

• Autonomously run and own large, complex cross functional projects and provide support with functional-specific projects with functional-specific projects.
• Implement strategic proposals and put in place rigorous tracking and evaluation metrics 

Business Performance: 

• Build analytical insights to help set and monitor performance goals in the business 
• Run business reviews to provide transparency across the executive team
• Create a central business voice for cross-functional needs (e.g., input to product roadmap or evolution in customer journey) 

Ad hoc growth opportunities: 

• Given the speed of the organization’s growth, this team will often own and build ad hoc projects related to growing the business (e.g., M&A).
• In this role, you will coach other members of the team.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Proven track record of leading and influencing executive audiences (e.g., VP and higher) on high priority initiatives 
• Proven track record of building strategy for and implementing highly cross-functional initiatives, and measuring success in fast-paced test and learn environment 
• Top tier quantitative and qualitative analytical skills and first principle thinking 
• Ability to track and manage several projects simultaneously
• Ability to coach other team members
• High EQ 
• Desire to thrive in ambiguous environment as a motivated self-starter 
• Bachelor's degree from a top university, ideally in mathematics, economics, finance, or similarly analytically rigorous program; MBA from top university a bonus 
• 6+ years of work experience; minimum of 2+ year in management consulting or private equity at a top firm required 
• Startup experience preferred, ideally in B2B SaaS or DaaS

The U.S. annualized pay range for this position is $140,000-$160,000 USD.  In addition, certain roles have the opportunity to earn sales-based commissions.  Base pay offered within the stated range may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including job-related skills, professional experience, education and licenses (if applicable), work location and compensation market data.

Base pay is just a part of our total rewards program. Placer provides medical, dental and vision coverage as well as flexible time off, 401K and equity awards for certain roles.
