Responsibilities
Drive country and regional project management across Africa— establishing cadence, accountability, and delivery against priorities, while embedding with country teams to support day-to-day operations and unblock issues on the ground.
Lead cross-cutting initiatives that span multiple markets, such as regulatory engagement, banking channel development and licensing — coordinating across country, regional, and global teams to align on approach and drive outcomes.
Coordinate special projects and task forces assigned by Africa leadership, such as strategic interventions — building the plan, driving the work, and delivering the result.
Develop a deep understanding of the Africa competitive landscape (exchanges, fintechs, regulators, market structure) and translate intel into actionable insights and recommendations for country and regional leadership.
Partner with Analytics, Finance, and Country teams to define, track, and report on OKRs — surfacing risks and opportunities early with clear recommendations.
Build and maintain trusted relationships with country GMs, global function leads, regulators, and external partners; represent the Africa team in cross-functional forums.
Requirements
8-10 years of progressive experience in startup operations, fintech, or financial institutions. Crypto experience preferred.
Demonstrated ability to operate independently — taking ambiguous problems and delivering structured outcomes without heavy supervision.
Track record of managing complex projects across multiple geographies and stakeholders.
Experience working with external partners and regulators is a significant plus.
Strong analytical skills — comfortable with data, OKRs, and translating numbers into narrative.
Excellent communication and influencing skills — able to engage country leaderships, global executives, and external counterparts with equal credibility.
Hands-on, execution-oriented, and biased toward action. No task is 'below' you.
