Job DescriptionAbout the role
As AUTODOC continues to accelerate its growth across 27 European countries and transition into a comprehensive tech ecosystem, understanding our rapidly evolving marketplace is critical to our success. The automotive aftermarket is experiencing significant structural shifts, driven by technological advancements and shifting consumer behaviours. To ensure our executive leadership team and business units move forward with clarity and data-driven confidence, we need to formalise and scale our external intelligence agenda. We are looking for a dedicated expert who can move past raw data to uncover the "why" behind competitor movements and market trajectories.
As such, we are hiring a Strategy & Market Intelligence Manager (m/f/d) to join our Strategy Team. Reporting directly to the Head of Strategy, and with high exposure to ExCom members, you will define and own the end-to-end intelligence infrastructure for the company, while supporting the strategy team in ad-hoc strategic engagements.
You will define AUTODOC's competitive intelligence agenda, to support the Executive Leadership Team and the Strategy Team in the decision making process. You will build and maintain robust internal market models from imperfect data, establish structured competitor scorecards, and translate complex macroeconomic signals into clear, actionable recommendations. You will also manage our external vendor ecosystems and build a modern intelligence tool stack, leveraging automated monitoring platforms and AI-augmented research methodologies to keep our leadership team informed on a regular cadence.
You will be working towards positioning AUTODOC ahead of market trends, transforming market and competitive signals into concrete business advantages. This is an exceptionally exciting opportunity because you will be the ultimate architect of how AUTODOC interprets its external environment.
Additionally, you are also expected to support the Strategy team in ad-hoc requests from the Executive Leadership team.
What you will do
Own the Intelligence Agenda: Build and maintain a comprehensive, deeply analytical understanding of AUTODOC’s markets. You will track market size, growth trajectories, consumer segments, competitive landscapes, and category dynamics.
Architect Market Models: Develop, scale, and regularly update internal market models, confidently transforming incomplete or imperfect external data into defensible baseline truths.
Monitor the Competition: Define, monitor, and maintain structured competitor scorecards and profiles across key target markets
Translate Trends into Actions: Track and analyze shifting industry trends and structural changes within the automotive aftermarket, converting these external signals into concrete strategic implications and recommended corporate responses.
Synthesize Strategic Insights: Integrate market and competitive intelligence into a single, unified truth. You will connect macro dynamics and micro signals into coherent assessments that directly guide the Strategy and Leadership teams.
Deliver Strategic Deep Dives: Directly support critical business decisions with targeted, deep-dive intelligence projects on selected markets, emerging shifts, or strategic topics.
Manage the Tool Stack: Select, implement, and manage our end-to-end intelligence tool infrastructure, including data subscriptions, automated monitoring networks, and vendor relationships.
Strategic Engagements: support the Strategy team and the Executive Leadership Team in strategic projects and high-priority business questions.
Essential & Required Skills
Proven Expertise: 7+ years of experience in Strategy Consulting and/or Strategic Intelligence functions, with a structured hypothesis-driven approach to problem framing and a proven track record in market, customer, and competitive intelligence.
Problem Solving Skills: ability to frame ambiguous problems and requests into structured approaches, insights and recommendations
Strategic Critical Thinking: An innate ability to separate signal from noise, connect disparate market trends to core business implications, and distill intelligence into concise, executive-level recommendations.
Advanced Modelling Skills: Outstanding analytical capabilities, with a proven track record of building and maintaining market-sizing models even when working with imperfect or incomplete data sets.
Proactivity and drive: can-do attitude with the ability to anticipate challenges and proactively proposing adequate solutions.
Impactful Communication: A clear, confident, and empathetic communication style, capable of presenting high-level findings to senior audiences and collaborating seamlessly across diverse, cross-functional teams.
Modern Tool Fluency: Hands-on experience managing research subscriptions, automated monitoring platforms, and implementing AI-augmented research methodologies.
Language Proficiency: Full fluency in English is required.
