Strategy and M&A Director, Advanced Analytics

Overview:
The Services Business represents over a third of Mastercard revenues and is a key differentiator for Mastercard. Services uses our unique and proprietary data, technology, insights and expertise to deliver solutions that meet the needs of our customers. Services is critical for the sustained, long-term growth of Mastercard.
Within the Services organization, this role supports the Advanced Analytics (AA) organization. The Advanced Analytics area leverages cutting-edge AI and data science techniques to address complex business challenges, focusing on areas such as marketing, credit risk and business experimentation, providing innovative solutions that drive decision-making & operational excellence.
Role:
This role focuses on strategy for our AA product suite. Responsibilities include:
• Lead high-priority strategic projects, including scoping and structuring problems, planning, conducting complex analysis and research, and providing insights and recommendations
• Periodically help refine the Advanced Analytics strategy to reflect key issues that impact, or are expected to impact the company
• Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, customer pain points, and competitive opportunities.
• Develop new ideas for growth opportunities for Mastercard, based on market and competitive context
• Evaluate potential areas for partnerships and / or acquisition based on Advanced Analytics’ strategic priorities
• Develop strategy presentations and memos for executives
• Cross functional collaboration across AA and the Services organization to drive key initiatives.
• Develop a deep understanding of the Advanced Analytics business line across geographies and products
All About You
• Bachelor’s degree required, MBA and/or advanced degree from a top-tier program preferred
• 6+ years of consulting experience at a leading consulting firm and/or internal strategy units, including at least one year of project leadership
• Exemplary analytical and problem-solving skills and business acumen; seasoned in identifying the most critical aspects of a problem and handling ambiguity
• Demonstrated ability to lead company-wide complex projects from start to finish, effectively driving forward project plans and leveraging stakeholder management and influencing skills
• Experience working with large global clients or at global organizations, with a proven track record of building long-lasting relationships with key stakeholders across the globe
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to develop high-quality presentations and memos independently
• Strong aptitude for modelling and applying quantitative analytical approaches
