About the Role

As Strategy Director at Blank Street, you’ll wear two hats: strategic operator and creative innovator. As a strategic operator, you’ll help guide the UK team to deliver on yearly, quarterly, and monthly goals—helping to set targets, build the plan and drive change where it matters most.

As a creative innovator, your mission is to think BIG and lead our boldest, most transformative projects — those that shape the future of our business beyond the next year, from re-designing the store customer journey to re-imagining our loyalty system. Your role is to build and deliver new things — taking ideas from 0 to 1, with both creativity and strategic precision.

Reporting directly to the UK President, you’ll work closely with the UK Leadership team while also partnering with the US President, CEO, and key Global Leaders—gaining exposure to every part of the business. You’ll also lead a talented cross-functional team across Data & Insights, Business Operations, and Customer Experience.

What You’ll Own:

  • Strategic Operator
    • Build the plan: Set clear business targets, prioritise initiatives, and create sharp actionable roadmaps.
    • Track progress: Lead the data and insights function to deliver dashboards and reports that empower better decision-making.
    • Drive change: Project manage cross-functional stakeholders and oversee the execution of key initiatives, ensuring we’re all ‘moving as one’
  • Parachute Consultant
    • Identify opportunities: understand the business inside out, proactively coming up with hypotheses and opportunities that could steer our strategy
    • Seek truth: Step into critical projects, delivering deep research and analysis to uncover game-changing insights and learnings
    • Improve ways of working: Develop strategic frameworks, systems, and processes to streamline decision-making and collaboration.
  • Creative Innovator
    • Lead transformative projects: Own transformative initiatives end-to-end, from ideation to execution, with a Global lens
    • Experiment and scale: Drive research, prototype solutions, gather learnings, and launch game-changing ideas.
    • Examples incl. Redesigning the store journey, reimagining loyalty programs, or creating a new bonus scheme for field teams.
  • Culture Carrier & Confidant
    • Build deep trust & relationships with team members across the whole org, acting as trusted partner to our team.
    • Champion our culture and take it forward

Who You Are:

  • 3+ years of experience in top tier consulting
  • 3+ years at an operating/strategy role at a high-growth company. F&B, consumer products, retail experience is a plus
  • Creative problem solver - you think beyond the ‘by the book’ approach
  • “Get things done” mindset - ready to roll up your sleeves to deliver output
  • Other Notes
    • Even if you have not worked in the industry, you have a strong appreciation for consumer products, F&B, hospitality.
    • You have to be very versatile to do well in this role. There will be constant context switching and parallel work-streams!
