About Zero Homes
Our mission is to rebuild American communities through healthy, affordable homes.

At Zero Homes, we operate on a simple premise: when you make contractors successful, homeowners win. The current home services industry is fragmented, complex, and opaque, which is frustrating for homeowners and exhausting for contractors. We are changing this by building a home upgrade marketplace that enables a simple, central, transparent process for homeowners and contractors to complete projects.

Through our platform we handle design, quoting, procurement, and customer service, allowing our contractor network to focus on what they do best and make them money: delivering projects. For homeowners, this delivers a predictable, high-quality, and transparent experience—transforming home upgrades from a source of anxiety into a seamless experience. Our vision is to create a world where homeowners and contractors in all 50 states can leverage our platform to execute thousands of projects every week within the next 36 months.

We work by a clear set of values:
  • Be a "can kid," not a "can’t kid": We own our outcomes and go to extraordinary lengths to solve problems.
  • Go fast, be clear: Speed is our advantage, and we sweat the details to deliver an extraordinary customer experience.
  • Customer & Contractor Obsessed: We have a deep, personal understanding of the work to be done. We stay curious about our contractors' craft and the stories of our homeowners.
  • Win, as a team: We are building an iconic business that will reinvent the industry, and will do so together.

If you are ready to build a world-class consumer experience that genuinely rebuilds American communities, come build with us.

About the Role & Your Impact

We're looking for a deeply analytical Sales & Operations Analyst to find the opportunities hiding in our numbers. Reporting to the Sr. Manager of Business Operations, you'll dig into the data flowing through every part of Zero (sales, marketing, fulfillment, supply chain, and finance) to produce the analysis, insights, and plans that make the business measurably better.

This is not a dashboard-building role. It's a thinking role that requires a deep understanding of the underlying business. Every Zero project involves quotes, equipment costs, labor, rebates, and program funding, and every market has its own economics. Your job is to crunch those numbers relentlessly: find where we're leaking margin, where the funnel breaks down, where installs get stuck, and where the next dollar of investment does the most good. Then turn what you find into clear recommendations and plans that leadership can act on, and document your work so the whole company can build on it.

What You'll Do

    Analysis & Insights
  • Run deep-dive analyses across the business: funnel conversion by market and channel, install throughput and cycle times, capacity utilization, customer experience drivers, and unit economics
  • Get to root cause. When a number moves, you dig through the layers (data, process, and people) until you understand and communicate why.
  • Pressure-test assumptions with data, including pricing, vendor costs, lead quality, scheduling, staffing, and capacity.
  • Deliver clear, decision-ready recommendations with quantified impact, not just charts.
  •
    Finding Inefficiencies
  • Proactively hunt for inefficiencies across the business: funnel drop-off, process bottlenecks, rework, underused capacity, redundant spend, and misaligned incentives.
  • Quantify the size of each opportunity and deliver a prioritized, evidence-backed business case.
  • Measure whether changes worked after they ship and report the realized impact honestly.
  •
    Planning & Decision Support
  • Model the financial impact of decisions before we make them: new markets, pricing changes, program participation, and vendor or equipment shifts.
  • Partner with Finance on job cost, margin, and cash flow analysis.
  • Demand forecasting and capacity / market-launch modeling

  • Documentation & Data Foundations
  • Document metrics, definitions, data sources, and analytical methods so numbers mean the same thing to everyone and analyses are reproducible.
  • Improve the organization and hygiene of the data underlying your work.
  • Leverage AI tools to compress the time between question, analysis, and answer.

What You Bring

  • 2-5 years in analytics, consulting, FP&A or a data-heavy operations role, ideally at a high-growth company.
  • Deep analytical horsepower: you're rigorous with numbers (ideally with a formal math background), fast in spreadsheets, and skeptical by default.
  • Business sense beyond the numbers: you understand how funnels, field operations, and customer experience actually work.
  • Solid financial understanding: unit economics, margins, cost structures, and cash flow are second nature, and you can read a P&L without a translator.
  • A nose for inefficiency: you notice waste and friction that others have stopped seeing, and you can't help but quantify it.
  • Strong communication skills: you can present findings to leadership, make a complex analysis feel simple, and land a recommendation.
  • Intellectual honesty: you report what the numbers say, including when they contradict the popular narrative or your own prior analysis.
  • You've AI-enabled yourself to move fast across whatever stack you land in.
  • Nice to Have

  • Experience in home services, energy, construction tech, marketplaces, or the trades.
  • Experience with job costing, project-based economics, or businesses with physical operations.
  • Familiarity with SQL, Python, or R for analysis, or PostHog for product analytics.
  • Experience supporting annual planning, budgeting, or board-level reporting.

Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including job-related knowledge, skills and experience. This role also includes meaningful equity compensation so successful candidates can participate in our company's accelerating growth.

Zero Homes is committed to creating an inclusive and accessible experience for all candidates. We encourage you to apply even if you believe that you do not meet all of the above criteria!

Skills Required

  • 2-5 years in analytics, consulting, FP&A, or a data-heavy operations role
  • Strong analytical ability and rigorous numeric reasoning (formal math background ideal)
  • Fast and advanced spreadsheet skills (Excel/Google Sheets)
  • Solid financial understanding: unit economics, margins, job costing, P&L literacy
  • Business sense across funnels, field operations, and customer experience
  • Ability to produce clear, decision-ready recommendations and present to leadership
  • Intellectual honesty and rigor in data-driven conclusions
  • Experience using AI tools to accelerate analysis and workflows
  • Experience in home services, energy, construction tech, marketplaces, or the trades
  • Experience with job costing, project-based economics, or physical operations businesses
  • Familiarity with SQL, Python, or R, or product analytics tools like PostHog
