How you'll contribute
- Lead and develop a program of pro-active audience research (especially polling) of strategic interest to the progressive campaigning eco-system, donors and other stakeholders and lead the communication of it with interested parties.
- Take what we are learning through both our proactive and reactive audience research and lead a program of work to share it more widely with the progressive communications eco-system. This would be through things like webinars, presentations and training programs which you will shape yourself.
- Play a leading role in helping teams across the Meliore network translate quantitative and qualitative research into actionable insight that inform their strategies and communications.
- Promote the effective use of audience insights across the organisation among senior stakeholders by sharing lessons, identifying trends and building colleagues' understanding of public opinion and audience behaviour.

Our ideal candidate has
To succeed in this role, you will have all the below qualities:
- Solid experience of audience research and in particular a familiarity with polling for the sake of audience research, including things like segmentations, message testing and survey writing.
- Strong and demonstrable experience of spotting opportunities to pro-actively develop research that will influence opinion formers and communications professionals.
- Strong and demonstrable experience of an ability to communicate clearly about research findings to non-specialist audiences. Experience of doing this to people who have English as a second language is a particular asset, albeit not essential.
- Some experience of translating insight from audience research into practical advice for campaign strategy development.
- A comfort with working remotely if needed and across different time zones.
- Fluency in written and spoken English, our working language;
Nice to haves:
- Experience of polling in the context of election campaigns is a particular asset
- Experience of working on communications or campaign strategies.
- Additional languages are an asset.

Location: flexibly remote.

Skills Required
