Reporting to the Head of Group Strategy, with day-to-day alignment to the Strategic Planning and Engagement Manager, the role supports the delivery of high-priority strategic initiatives, often CEO/Board-mandated and cross-functional in nature, and plays an integral part in executing Iress’ core strategic processes.

This role is well-suited to an early-career professional with strong analytical capabilities, intellectual curiosity, and a passion for data-driven, high-impact strategy work. The Strategy Analyst will help shape and support the initiatives that underpin Iress’ long-term strategic goals.

Some of the awesome things you’ll be involved with:

Support for Strategic Projects:

  • Provide hands-on support to the Group Strategy team on high-priority strategic initiatives, including Board-mandated and cross-functional projects.

  • Assist in coordinating workstreams, ensuring deliverables are aligned to project goals and stakeholder expectations.

  • Conduct analysis, prepare documentation, and support stakeholder engagement to enable successful delivery of key milestones.

Delivery of Core Strategic Processes:

  • Strategic Initiative Tracking and Management: Lead the central tracking and governance of high-value strategic initiatives, providing clear, consistent visibility to the Leadership Team and Board through a structured monthly process.

  • Strategic Planning Cycles: support the coordination and execution of the Annual and 5-Year Planning processes, ensuring effective cross-functional input and alignment. This includes contributing to data gathering, analysis, and preparation of the Iress Corporate Strategy.

  • Other Core Strategic Processes: Support the delivery of key strategic forums, including Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) and Strategic Councils, ensuring alignment, coordination, and effective execution across the organisation.

What you will bring:

  • 2+ years' experience in a strategy function, preferably within a top-tier management consulting firm or an in-house strategy team.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including comfort working with data, Excel-based models, and structured thinking approaches.

  • Ability to conduct market and competitor research, synthesise insights, and contribute to strategic recommendations.

  • Exposure to project-based work and able to break down problems, test hypotheses, and support strategic initiative delivery in a team setting.

  • Capable of producing clear and well-structured presentations and documents for an executive audience, using G-suite & Microsoft tools.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey ideas clearly to peers and managers.

  • Professional, collaborative, and proactive mindset, with a willingness to learn, take ownership of tasks, and operate in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong attention to detail, time management, and ability to juggle multiple priorities effectively.
