Job PurposeJackson's Strategic Support Program (SSP) is designed to provide on-demand staffing to various departments and create a talent pipeline within our organization. As a Strategic Support Associate (SSA), you will join our talented population of associates, performing critical daily business support functions which directly impact the customer experience.The Operations Process Engineer (OPE) SSA will support Jackson's Operations Process Engineering team. They will support a variety of process improvement activities, including assisting with mapping and documentation of workflows, gathering and analyzing operational data, and identifying opportunities for increased quality and efficiency. This individual will also participate in problem-solving and troubleshooting efforts and collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the entire customer journey.Essential Responsibilities- Assist in mapping and documenting existing Operations processes.
- Collect, organize, and analyze production and operational data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Support the implementation of process improvement initiatives, including department strategic projects.
- Participate in root cause analysis and help troubleshoot process-related issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, with all levels of associates, to aid in process documentation and project implementation.
- Contribute to the development and updating of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
- Maintain accurate records of project activities and findings.
- Assist with other engineering tasks and projects as assigned.
- Performs other duties and/or projects as assigned.
- Demonstrate a willingness to learn business processes and administrative systems.
- Work well independently and within a team.
- Basic understanding of engineering principles.
- Ability to effectively communicate technical and non-technical matters both verbally and in writing.
- Experience with analyzing data and statistics.
- Experience with Microsoft Suite with an emphasis in Excel.
- Working hours:
- Shifts offered from 8:00am – 6:00pm, Monday-Friday.
- Minimum requirement of 18 hours per week, maximum of 29.
- Duration of individual shift segments must be a minimum of 3 hours.
- Sophomores, Juniors, or Seniors enrolled in a 4-year degree program focused on a STEM discipline strongly preferred, Engineering disciplines or equivalent work experience required.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies preferred.
- Experience with process documentation tools/software preferred.
- Experience with automation software (e.g. Robotic Process Automation, PowerAutomate/CoPilot 360) preferred.
