The Strategic Sourcing Specialist is responsible for developing and implementing sourcing strategies that enhance the competitive edge of the organization. Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies to achieve cost savings and quality improvements.
    • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers; conduct supplier audits and assessments.
    • Negotiate contracts and pricing with suppliers to ensure favorable terms.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, manufacturing, and quality assurance.
    • Monitor market trends and supplier performance to inform sourcing decisions.
    • Maintain databases and documentation related to sourcing activities and supplier relationships.
Qualifications

You must have:

  • A bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, finance, or a related field is often required. A master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CPSM, CIPS) is preferred.
  • Typically, 4+ years in strategic sourcing, supply chain or procurement, with a focus on direct materials/materials sourcing.
  • Experience in supplier negotiation and contract management.
  • Proven track record of achieving cost savings and improving procurement processes.
