The Global Procurement team at WMG is in its early stages, and this role is foundational. We're a new department with a mandate to build a modern, strategic function that supports WMG's creative vision and operational goals. You won't just be joining a team; you'll be a key part of its creation, helping to shape our future and make a lasting impact on how we do business across the company.
Your role: This is a rare opportunity to be a builder at a world-class music company. Your role isn't just about leading contracts; it's about helping to implement the engine that powers our business operations. You'll use your sharp analytical skills and a passion for process improvement to drive value across a wide range of departments, from IT to Marketing. This is a highly visible position where your expertise will directly impact our efficiency and profitability, all while supporting the people who make WMG an industry leader.
Here you’ll get to:
- You will help implement the foundation of our new procurement department, establishing standard processes and key strategies.
- You will lead the end-to-end procurement lifecycle for your projects, across indirect categories such as Marketing, IT, and Facilities.
- You will proactively lead a portfolio of multi-million-dollar contracts, ensuring compliance and mitigating risk.
- You will conduct a detailed spend analysis using your expertise in Microsoft Excel.
- You will enhance procurement processes and workflows to improve efficiency across the organization.
- You will lead RFP, RFQ, and participate in supplier negotiations across indirect categories to secure favorable terms and pricing.
- You will partner with business leaders across WMG to align on their needs and drive strategic outcomes.
About you:
- You have at least 5 years of experience in indirect procurement, are comfortable running RFP’s, negotiating with vendors, and leading stakeholders internally at a senior level
- You are a strong communicator who can speak to your category and projects to senior leadership.
- You have a proven track record of managing multi-million-dollar contracts.
- You are extremely detail-oriented with a sharp eye for contract review.
- You are an expert in Microsoft Excel for financial and data analysis.
- You have the ability to build strong relationships with collaborators and suppliers.
- You have the ability to work independently and truly own your area and hit the ground running.
We’d love it if you also had:
- A bachelor's degree in a related field such as Business, Finance, Supply/Operations
- Experience using Google Suite
- Familiarity with building procurement and category strategy
