The Strategic Sourcing Manager is responsible for execution of sourcing strategy and development of suppliers, requirements and processes to achieve service, cost and profitability goals. Reporting to the Director of Strategic Sourcing & Procurement, this position leads the strategic sourcing group driving best-in-class processes, people, and capability improvements.

The ideal candidate will have experience with leading people or teams toward a common set of goals or objectives and experience working in collaborative environments or situations working with a wide variety of personality or communications styles. Will have a deep understanding of the strategic sourcing process, means, and methods. As a subject matter expert (SME), the incumbent will share that knowledge and experience for the betterment of the group/team.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education: Bachelor's Degree

Experience: Five to seven (5-7) years in successful Procurement Operations and/or Strategic Sourcing management roles with appropriate industry experience.

Travel: 15-25%

Work Schedule: This position works between the hours of 7 AM and 5 PM, Monday- Friday. However, work may be performed at any time on any day of the week to meet business needs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develops and implements sourcing strategy in support of product development team, identifying market opportunities, accurately modeling costs, building relationships with new suppliers, and contracting for new strategic supply relationships.
  • Interfaces effectively with technical and marketing teams to clearly understand complex sourcing needs.
  • Exhibits strong organizational influence, ability to vision and succeed in ambiguous contexts, and build alignment among teams to develop and execute successful procurement strategies.
  • Acts as subject matter expert in 5-step strategic sourcing (including Requests For Proposals, contracting, Supplier Relationship Management).
  • Analyzes industry trends to proactively identify supply base issues to minimize risk, protect continuity of supply, and capitalize on opportunities.
  • Oversees and manages strategic sourcing groups for Faith Technologies.
  • Develops and implements processes for strategic sourcing across FTI categories and/or divisions.
  • Leads transformation efforts to improve buyer team capabilities, specifically in areas of category strategy development, supplier relationship management, industry/category intelligence, and commercial contracting strategies/negotiations.
  • Assists Director of Strategic Sourcing & Procurement with establishing key supply chain relationships/partnerships to support broader FTI goals and objectives.
  • Develops, negotiates, and maintains blanket agreement/preferred material pricing contracts.
  • Uses tools/systems/processes developed internally to implement, monitor, and analyze procurement metrics including pricing comparisons, customer satisfaction, order volume, and other useful measures as needed.
  • Demonstrates an approachable and collaborative interpersonal working style. Able to work with others and effectively influence those they lead as well as those with whom they collaborate.
  • Demonstrates the ability to plan for, complete, and implement assignments and responsibilities in a timely manner.
  • Demonstrates and leads the acceptance of company culture and an adoption of professional standards. Incumbent is a “functional ambassador” for FTI’s core values.
  • Defines work to be done; clearly communicates vision, objectives, and helps to prioritize tasks to appropriate individuals. Delegates tasks to appropriate parties; clearly communicates needs and expectations.
  • Measures and monitors the work of individual direct reports and/or collective team/taskforce team(s). Coaches and motivates direct reports/appropriate individuals to effectively perform; removes barriers to success and provides timely feedback, necessary resources, and open communications.
  • Develops relationships with leaders, customers, and others that facilitate open dialogue and trust.
  • Prepares, documents, and delivers direct report annual performance reviews.
  • Responsible for ensuring employee’s professional development plans are in place and progressing.
  • Responsible for working with Talent for any employee recognition and or discipline documentation.
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned by the organization.
