Job Description:

As a Strategic Sourcing Manager at Mars you will partner closely with the Global Strategic Sourcing Director and Buyers to drive development & implementation of sub-category buying strategies and co-pilot optimization of resources. You’ll manage both regional and global initiatives by leveraging supplier relationships, while also driving standardization and automation. Ownership of sub-category spend on a global basis will be key, as will heavy x-functional collaboration and close partnership with key stakeholders.

What are we looking for?

  • 7+ years of procurement experience.
  • A passion for developing strong relationships with supplier and cross functional stakeholders both domestically and internationally.
  • Experience in Rice/Grain sourcing is a bonus
  • Bachelors degree at a minimum.

What will be your key responsibilities?

  • You will recommend and implement supply base strategy, including assessing and developing suppliers.
  • Benchmarking, leading RFP activity and driving the qualification/implantation of new suppliers.
  • You will also manage supplier governance, including supplier performance auditing.
  • Direct oversight of ($100m) in spend.

The base pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between the range listed below, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including but not limited to, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, if eligible, including variable pay, medical and dental benefits, participation in 401k plan, and paid time off benefits.  Eligibility for these additional elements depend on the position offered and the employee’s work schedule (i.e., part-time schedule, store associate).  Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an applicant receives an offer of employment.
