Job Description:
Global Strategic Sourcing Manager for Digital Demand/Digital Experience and the Food & Nutrition categories. The role focuses on strategic sourcing/procurement duties, category management, contract management, supplier relationship management, cost optimization, familiarity with procurement tools and platforms, and strategic alignment with commercial objectives. This role encompasses end to end commercial management of SaaS, implementation partners, and professional services providers, ensuring tight strategic alignment with our broader Commercial objectives.
Acting as a critical driver of our digital transformation, this role will partner closely with the Senior Sourcing Manager and two Sourcing Excellence Buyers to drive development & implementation of sub-category buying strategies within Digital Technologies commercial team and co-pilot optimization of resources. You’ll manage digital sub-categories such as eCommerce (B2B, B2C) Content (DAM, PIM, PXM), Digital Experience Platform, Data Lake (CDP), Digital Demand Engineering, Food & Nutrition initiatives, emerging strategic partnership with Salesforce as well as emerging digital trends at both regional and global initiatives by leveraging supplier relationships, while also driving standardization and automation. Ownership of sub-category spend on a global basis will be key, as will heavy cross-functional collaboration and close partnership with key stakeholders. Another primary responsibility of this role is to bring the Chief Procurement Officer’s 2030 ambitions to life, actively driving her strategy to deliver aggressive cost reduction and optimization across our core SaaS tools.
Key responsibilities Include:
- Recommend and Implement supply base strategy, Including assessing and developing suppliers.
- Manage supplier governance, including strategic relationship with Salesforce and 50+ additional suppliers, as well as supplier performance auditing.
- Direct oversight of $125M+ In spend.
- Manages benchmarking, end-to-end RFP activity and drives the qualification and implementation of new suppliers to support a competitive landscape.
- Works collaboratively and partners closely with other Technology Category Sourcing Managers and key stakeholders within the Digital Demand/Food & Nutrition organization and cross functional partners to ensure visibility, alignment and the brilliant execution on the sourcing and strategic buying initiatives and supply base.
- Analyzes supplier service levels and KPIs to drive the right behaviors with suppliers.
- Develop continuous improvement action plan and executes. Monitors change and adjusts plan as needed to sustain performance results.
- Secures price, capacity & service levels in line with commitments to the business.
- Ensures effective risk management of the supply base, through robust contracts and monitoring of financial and other KPIs. Implements corrective actions as appropriate.
- Establishes & maintains relationships with key stakeholders in Richie Dartois, Jason Thomstatter, Balki Subramanian, Frederic Meneguzzi and their teams to ensure understanding of their needs and to facilitate the appropriate level of challenge.
- Complies with internal Mars policies, systems & controls.
- Communicates business risk & opportunity to Commercial Leadership
- Understands and Implements industry best practice for areas of responsibility. Participates in team knowledge transfer.

What are we looking for?
- Bachelor's degree at a minimum
- 3-5 years of Procurement experience.
- A passion for developing strong relationships with supplier and cross functional stakeholders both domestically and internationally.
- Project & activity management with a high attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- MSA and contractual paperwork review, lead/drive teams such as Legal and Infosec when negotiating with partners.
- Developing and maintaining strong relationships at all levels of the organization including senior level (difficult situations, large groups), and suppliers.
- Previous experience with sourcing IT solutions along with a practical understanding of concepts such as UX/UI, APIs, data analytics, AI/ML etc.
