(ADD) Responsibilities:
The Strategic Sourcing Global Source to Order Process Excellence Senior Manager role will lead initiatives to strengthen Strategic Sourcing capabilities in key areas such as process improvement, policies and governance, technology assessment and implementation, analytics, supplier relationship management, competitive bidding (RFx and e-auctions) and training and development activities. This role will work cross-functionally with the Strategic Sourcing and the broader organization to understand business priorities and needs to define specific initiatives, aligned with best industry practices, to deliver value to the business.
- Support leading the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of global source to order processes to enhance the value of the Strategic Sourcing and P2P organization.
- Develop tools to enhance end-to-end strategy to pay process visibility, streamline, and provide a global lens across Source to Order processes.
- Work collaboratively across the organization in the identification of improvement initiatives and develop project strategies, goals, and priorities.
- Coordinate supplier governance and performance management program which includes executive business reviews, developing/updating action plans, defining success metrics and monitoring KPI progress.
- Introduce best practices and better ways of managing work and creating processes that support advancing our strategic priorities.
- Build internal networks to increase communication, knowledge sharing, and engagement to enhance and improve our business processes.
- Develop communication plans with Strategic Sourcing teams and stakeholders to drive consistency and alignment to Strategic Sourcing vision.
- Research and identify Strategic Sourcing team development opportunities and skill building.
- Obtain and integrate market research to support Category strategies and/or sourcing activities with the ability to filter data into a relevant, actionable format.
- Deep understanding of sourcing, procurement and AP processes and industry best practices in areas such as procurement technology, risk management, supplier relationship management, stakeholder management and market intelligence.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, strong knowledge of ERP systems, P2P systems and related e-Sourcing tools, including business intelligence and reporting platforms.
- Expertise in complex supplier negotiations and supplier management activities.
- Strong analytical capabilities (data analysis and benchmarking research); expertise working with data analytical/reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, etc. Able to generate necessary data and reports to support their activities.
- Sound understanding and demonstrated use of Continuous Improvement tools (including Pareto Charts, Flow Diagrams, etc.) to drive process improvements
- Strong project management and organizational skills. Able to create detailed project plans, including an understanding of dependencies as well as critical path elements for larger, more involved projects.
- Able to lead teams in collaborative manner to drive successful outcomes through earned respect and trust. Collaboration extends beyond stakeholders and suppliers to include other functional areas including Legal, Compliance, Finance, among others.
- Strong communication skills (both written and verbal); able to clearly articulate opinions in concise and persuasive manner. Comfortable speaking in front of groups and/or leading meetings that may include Senior-level Management personnel.
- Ability to manage several projects while ensuring deliverables are fully met on-time, including more complex and involved projects. Once given direction, able to work autonomously with minimal support/direction from their manager.
- Bachelor's degree
- Typically requires 6+ years of Sourcing experience, ideally several within a pharmaceutical / biotech industry, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
