Job DescriptionAbout the opportunity
You’ll join our Finance team — the team that provides expertise and support to our five business verticals. Working hand in hand with internal stakeholders, you’ll help them overcome obstacles by understanding their goals and challenges. You’ll enable them to focus on what really matters - helping our teams reach their full potential.
This position reports to Xplor’s VP of Global procurement and requires a highly analytical, proactive, organized, problem solver. The Sourcing Associate needs strong communication skills, effective business partnering skills, and an ability to drive cost improvement.
The Sourcing team is responsible for effective supplier negotiations, identifying savings opportunities, and creating workflows to procure goods / services while complying with policy. The candidate must demonstrate good business judgement, be comfortable with data and succeed despite imperfect or incomplete data. They will execute within guidelines (policy, timing, budget, scope, etc.). This position frequently interacts with Xplor’s senior leaders.
Strategic IT Sourcing - Senior Lead is responsible for:
- Managing the Procure to Pay system with the AP team.
- Creating and reporting spend data analysis.
- Driving cost out while ensuring Xplor is sourced to support / grow business.
- Managing supplier engagements - concept through execution; (scope, RFP, negotiations, supplier awarding, contract execution, supplier migration / implementation).
- Maintaining a funnel of savings opportunities. Identifies and tracks opportunities, documents sourcing priorities and roadmap of sourcing activities.
- Maintaining a savings achievement tracker (in sync with finance for forecasting)
- Reporting: KPIs, preferred supplier adoption, exception reporting & business partner reporting.
- Complying with Xplor policy and standards: Terms and Conditions (payment terms, break clauses, engage legal for Xplor standard wording, disclosures, engages legal, business partner inputs, proper contact approvals, Procurement policy, etc.
- Ensuring contracts and commercial agreements are being followed and recorded in Xplor contract repository

- Advanced skillset in technology sourcing to identify spend savings opportunities and manage from sourcing through implementation is key

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Exceptional commercial acumen and negotiation skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills and an analytical mind
- Adaptability and flexibility, able to manage fast paced change in growing company
- MCIPS qualified would be desirable

The average salary for this role is $70,000-100,000 USD and eligible for a discretionary bonus.
