We partner with IT sub-division leaders to ensure the successful use of Vanguard’s third-party sourcing partnerships to deliver technology solutions. This role develops and executes the strategy for suppliers that meet the standards of price, quality, timing, and reliability of products and service.
In this role you will:
Manage cross-divisional programs or multiple workstreams within a larger program, driving all phases from inception to implementation, ensuring high-quality delivery within targeted timeframes.
Develop and maintain a multi-year program strategy with specific actions to achieve future goals. Communicates program status to various audiences within Vanguard through written and verbal updates.
Offer insights on best practices and common obstacles from prior experiences, ensuring strategies align with the department's overall strategy. Partners in strategic sourcing efforts for key spend strategies.
Build and maintain strategic relationships across sites, departments, divisions, and internal and external partners to support their program initiatives. Develops strong relationships with program leadership, sponsors, and workstream leads.
Ensure all steps are taken to mitigate risk, and maintain control, compliance, audit, and legal requirements. Integrates and oversees change management efforts across the overall program. Closely monitors program costs and budget and escalates cost variances appropriately and timely.
Provide subject matter expertise in managing high complexity strategic sourcing transactions, negotiations, and supplier selection for products and services.
Develop and execute category strategies to drive maximum value across category, supplier, and deal levels.
Understand the needs and objectives of divisions and functional partners. Identify and directly understand potential linkages between business needs and the relevant industry's trends.
Perform market data analysis and clean-sheet analysis for negotiations and supplier selection. Leads high-complexity sourcing events. Collaborate with sourcing operations teams, business leaders, legal & risk for transactions
Interpret and communicate contract requirements, obligations, and risk exposures to key stakeholders, including sourcing professionals and business leaders.
Manage relationships for suppliers within assigned category.
Mentor team members and provide training on best practices.
Resolve escalated and complex issues and involve stakeholders as needed.
Continually examines ways to raise standards and improve process and procedures while improving the overall performance of ESM.
