About the role:

As the Strategic Sales Engineer of the West US territory at VulnCheck, you will play a critical role in demonstrating how VulnCheck intelligence enhances workflows for Enterprise, MSSP and Cyber Vendor customers in the West US region. You will collaborate with prospects, customers, partners, and internal teams to deliver valuable solutions and drive business opportunities.


Key Responsibilities


  • Build and maintain strong relationships with prospects and customers.
  • Lead proof-of-concept (PoC) engagements, ensuring successful technical validation of VulnCheck solutions.
  • Influence product development by gathering feedback and advocating for feature requests and enhancements.
  • Provide technical consulting and customization to help customers integrate VulnCheck solutions into their data platforms, vendor tools, and existing processes.
  • Train prospects and customers, troubleshoot PoC issues, and respond to product inquiries to ensure they can operate independently and confidently.
  • Develop custom scripts and troubleshoot performance issues related to VulnCheck components, including the API, data fidelity, and CLI/SDK.

This role is instrumental in securing the technical win, ensuring customers recognize the value of VulnCheck in strengthening their cybersecurity posture.

Serving as the primary presales technical contact, you will build strong relationships with customers to drive successful security implementations and continue to manage the customer lifecycle ensuring success.


How You’ll Make an Impact


  • Guide customers through adoption and integration, accelerating deployments with new security products.
  • Provide real-time technical support and strategic guidance to optimize security operations.
  • Leverage deep product expertise to assist with initial setup, deployment, optimization, and issue resolution.
  • Collaborate closely with prospects and customers ensuring that VulnCheck solutions align with their security objectives.

Your expertise will be instrumental in driving successful security integrations, empowering customers to enhance their cybersecurity posture with confidence.


Candidate requirements:

  • Deep understanding of the Cybersecurity product landscape with a focus in Vulnerability Management.
  • A comprehensive understanding of the roles, interactions, and challenges in incident response, vulnerability management, and SOC analysis/management, including how each can leverage vulnerability intelligence for support.
  • Ability to develop and maintain scripts in Python.
  • Ability to work with APIs and JSON.
  • Ability to build or quickly learn how to build workflows in security platforms such as OpenCTI, CyWare CTIX, ThreatConnect etc. 
  • Experience in mentorship responsibilities.
  • 6+ years experience as a pre-sales engineer in the cyber security industry.
  • Familiarity with Go programming language
