What you’ll accomplish with us

As a Strategic Risk Advisor, you’ll be at the core of our mission. Here are the main responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the identification, assessment, monitoring and tracking of strategic, cross-functional and emerging risks;
  • Conduct risk analyses and provide advisory support in assessing projects, initiatives and strategic matters;
  • Monitor action plans, mitigation measures, indicators and related documentation in collaboration with business partners;
  • Contribute to the preparation of reports, presentations and other documents intended for senior management and various committees;
  • Support and raise awareness among partners regarding the application of risk management methodologies, tools and standards;
  • Contribute to collecting, consolidating and analyzing data to provide an integrated view of risks;
  • Research and analyze emerging trends that may influence the business environment and the organization’s risk profile;
  • Collaborate with other risk management teams to ensure a consistent and harmonized approach;
  • Participate in facilitating workshops, working sessions and training activities, as required;
  • Participate in various projects or assignments requiring risk management expertise;
  • Perform any other responsibilities that contribute to achieving the team’s objectives.

What could accelerate your success in this role

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or another relevant field;
  • Has two to five years of experience in risk management, auditing, strategic planning, project management or a related field;
  • Demonstrates a strong interest in strategic issues and organizational risk management, as well as strong analytical and synthesis skills;
  • Stands out for their written and verbal communication skills and ability to prepare executive-level presentations;
  • Demonstrates excellent teamwork, intellectual curiosity and a strong ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously;
  • Has knowledge of the financial services or insurance industry, an asset;
  • Is familiar with risk management principles, project management methodologies or LEAN approaches, an asset;
  • Advanced proficiency in English and French is required, as the person in this role will communicate daily with English-speaking and French-speaking clients and partners across Canada through emails and phone calls.

The typical hiring range for this position is between CAD 80,276$ and CAD 115,371$ per year; the base salary offered may vary depending on knowledge, skills, years of experience and internal equity related to the role.
