This Individual will serve as the Strategic Purchaser- Indirect (Individual Contributor) responsible for Indirect Materials and Services supporting manufacturing and commercial sites in the EMEA Region. This individual will own the supplier relationships for Indirect materials and services suppliers in EMEA under the leadership of the Sr. Strategic Sourcing Manager, EMEA. This individual will support the global Indirect category strategies execution in the region. This position is part of the Integrated Supply Chain Organization and will be located onsite in Bad Kreuznach, Germany.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Regional Sourcing Strategy Execution: Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, conduct supplier assessments, attend supplier meetings/visits, Site Gembas’ , maintain strong relationships with key suppliers via SBR’s, collaborate with cross-functional teams (including but not limited to engineering, value stream leaders, manufacturing, materials, facilities, finance, plant buyers), negotiate LTA’s/MSA’s/Service agreements and manage contract administration, improve Supplier OTD, and support site relevant Target management.
  • Project Management: Project funnel ideation and execution, own Strategic Sourcing visual management (DVM), stay updated on emerging technologies/materials/best practices across all Indirect spend categories including but not limited to MRO, CAPEX, OPEX, Utilities, Facilities, Tooling, Calibration devices & Freight, Equipment services, as well as supply chain management, monitor market trends & industry developments to identify opportunities for innovation/cost savings/risk mitigation, optimize Supply Chain design to maximize adherence to materials & services management.
  • Performance Management: Deliver on Pall’s Core Value Drivers (CVDs), including On-Time Delivery (OTD), backlog reduction, Quality Improvement Targets (QIT), cost savings through PPV/VAVE, net deflation, improved Days Payable Outstanding (DPO), and robust supply risk mitigation.
  • Operational Excellence: Champion the deployment of Danaher Business Systems (DBS) tools such as DMS, SBM, and CSFM to drive improvements in quality, delivery, and cost of procured goods.
  • Stakeholder Relationship Management: Collaborate with internal stakeholders across all Indirect categories including but not limited to Ops, R&D, Engineering, Facilities, Finance, HR, support internal customers as necessary, and drive DPO & Supply base Consolidation.
  • Domestic/International travel will be required.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Procurement, Supply Chain, or Engineering, with 3+ years’ experience in Sourcing, Purchasing, or Supplier Relationship Management with focus on Indirect categories
  • Hands-on experience and success in achieving net deflation and productivity, supplier performance, relationship, and risk management.
  • Proven Team player in a matrix environment with influencing and change management experience.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing process, strong supplier development experience, and exposure in high-mix low-volume (HMLV) environment preferred.
  • Global Sourcing experience for a global multinational manufacturing company with a matrix organizational structure, with demonstrated expertise in implementing lean manufacturing principles and practices in an industrial operations environment, with a focus on sourcing and materials.
  • Proven negotiation skills with demonstrated performance results. Strong knowledge of regulatory and quality requirements, and experience utilizing electronic sourcing tools (eRFQ, eBid, eAuction, etc.). SAP experience is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge in materials, services, processes, pricing dynamics, and supplier landscape
  • Experience with Indirect category Procurement is a plus
  • Proven track record of negotiating contracts, reducing costs, and improving supplier performance
  • Ability to travel 30% within the EMEA region
