Labcorp is seeking a Strategic Project Manager to join our team at 8211 Scicor Drive, Indianapolis, Indiana with the flexibility of a hybrid work schedule!

Work Schedule

Monday – Friday, day shift

Job Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional senior stakeholders to define scope, prioritize, and deliver strategic projects.
  • Develop and oversee integrated strategic projects plan, dependencies, and financials across the full lifecycle, ensuring effective governance, resource alignment, and delivery of intended business value.
  • Proactively identify risks and interdependencies, implement mitigation strategies, and facilitate resolution of complex challenges to ensure successful delivery aligned to scope, timeline, budget, and expected outcomes.
  • Communicate project vision, progress, risks, and outcomes effectively to stakeholders at all levels, including senior leadership, to drive alignment and informed decision-making.
  • Hold formal project reviews with management and key stakeholders to ensure successful project execution and customer satisfaction.
  • Records actual labor utilization on the project and creates resource utilization forecasts.
  • Manage the day-to-day operational and tactical aspects of projects assigned.
  • Manage the relationship within project teams, executive sponsors, and all identified stakeholders.
  • Motivate teams by presenting a vision and strategy for delivery.
  • Negotiate on behalf of all project team members to ensure service delivery and team satisfaction.
  • Effectively work with a diverse group of stakeholders in the organization
  • Communicates effectively with all levels of staff and management.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in Life Science, Project Management, or IT
  • 5 or more years’ experience of full-time Project Management

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Life Science, Project Management, or IT
  • Project Management certification

Additional Job Standards

  • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project) and the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience utilizing data analytics and visualization tools (e.g., Power BI) to support project tracking, performance reporting, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Proven success managing end-to-end operational, product/service development, or IT projects, including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closeout.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex, global, cross-functional strategic initiatives within regulated, laboratory, healthcare, or similarly controlled environments.
  • Strong leadership capabilities with a track record of motivating cross-functional teams and aligning stakeholders around shared goals and project objectives.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills, including the ability to influence, negotiate, and build effective relationships with senior leaders, business partners, and external clients.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to deliver clear, concise, and impactful updates through presentations, reports, and executive-level communications.
  • Strong customer-focused mindset with a commitment to meeting and exceeding internal and external client expectations.
  • Advanced problem-solving, decision-making, and conflict-resolution skills, with the ability to proactively identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues.
  • Highly organized with exceptional planning, prioritization, analytical, and critical-thinking abilities.
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented, with the ability to work independently while effectively collaborating across diverse teams.
  • Proven ability to thrive in complex, fast-paced, and highly matrixed organizations.
  • Demonstrated history of delivering projects on time, within scope, and on or below budget.
  • Experience managing project financials, resource allocation, capacity planning, and utilization forecasting.
  • Experience working with global, multicultural teams across multiple geographies and time zones.
  • Track record of driving continuous improvement, process optimization, and operational excellence initiatives.
  • Experience operating within a Project Management Office (PMO) framework, with strong adherence to project governance, reporting standards, change control, and compliance requirements.
