Sourcebooks, the fastest-growing leading book publisher, has created a new role of Strategic Project Manager to play a key role in shaping the future of our company. This is a unique opportunity for a high-caliber and analytic strategic leader to partner directly with our Publisher & CEO and leadership team, accelerating growth and driving transformation in an innovative, mission-driven organization.
This role will be hybrid 2-3 days/week in Naperville, Illinois with an annual salary of $90,000 - $135,000 (salary to commensurate with experience).

What You’ll Do

Drive Strategic Initiatives – Lead key projects across business operations, M&A, financial planning, and corporate governance.

Be a Thought Partner to Leadership – Provide data-driven insights and strategic recommendations to the CEO and executive team.

Manage High-Impact Projects – Oversee execution, measure success, and ensure alignment with company objectives.

Lead Cross-Functional Collaboration – Work across departments to turn vision into action, fostering innovation and operational excellence.

What We’re Looking For

Self-starter – Can work through ambiguity, shape the role as they go.

Strong Project Manager – Ability to proactively run a portfolio of projects.

Strategic & Analytical Mindset – Ability to break down complex business challenges and develop data-driven solutions.

Proven Experience – 3-5+ years in strategy, consulting, business development, or project management in a dynamic environment.

Passion for Publishing & Storytelling – Prior media or publishing experience is a plus, but a belief in the power of books is essential.
