GQRA’s Strategy & Business Transformation Manager, will support the development and execution of the strategic plan for Global Quality & Regulatory Affairs (GQRA). This individual will work closely with the GQRA’s Director, Strategy & Business Transformation, to establish and deploy a common approach to strategic plan development, identify and, annually, refresh the strategic initiatives identified to deliver the strategic plan. This role will partner closely with the GQRA leadership team to ensure the business objectives of all GQRA divisions is reflected in the strategic plan and that the strategic initiatives are clear with appropriate metrics to deliver the GQRA strategy.

This role will partner with GQRA subfunctions, Finance, and Agilent’s Strategy & Business Transformation teams to define and manage the annual budget (capital and operating expense) and headcount to support the successfully delivery of GQRA initiatives. This role will play an integral part of the GQRA Cost of Non-Quality strategic initiative and partner with cross-functional leaders to continuously refine the CONQ model and cost reduction targets.

This role will support the development of the department annual business goals and outcome measures, in collaboration with the DGG GQRA leadership. They will establish a monitoring and communication process to track progress to the department goals and overall GQRA strategic initiatives through a consistent project management approach, ensuring a routine cadence of project management deliverables is identified and maintained.

The GQRA Strategy & Business Transformation manager will be responsible for supporting the implementation and maintaining a GQRA continuous improvement pipeline in collaboration with the GQRA divisions. They will establish business excellence capabilities in GQRA to include, but not limited to, agile, lean concepts, design excellence, process excellence methodologies and tools. They will foster a culture of continuous improvement and delivery excellence in GQRA through methodologies that include but are not limited to agile, scrum, project management and change management. They will support GQRA in building business and delivery excellence capabilities and leverage these skills and capabilities across Agilent as the need arises.

This role will partner with all project teams accountable for harmonizing and optimizing Quality & Compliance processes, to ensure they are effectively integrated with other business processes. They will ensure lean principles and process improvement methodologies are consistently applied when establishing harmonized processes for GQRA. They will effectively challenge the status quo as necessary, to drive change and ensure harmonization is achieved. They will partner with project leaders to develop business cases to ensure they are based on effective process mapping and a solid benefits realization plan.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the development of GQRA’s Strategic initiatives supporting GQRA’s strategic roadmap.

  • Provide guidance and support to the team in developing business cases, financial models, and action plans to support strategic initiatives.

  • Support the development and implementation of the overall strategic direction for GQRA, aligning it with the long-term goals and objectives.

  • Monitor the progress and make required adjustments to GQRA’s strategic initiatives based on industry trends and organizational needs.

  • Working with cross functional teams supporting development of their Strategic Plan of Record (SPR)

  • Support the development of GQRA’s fiscal Strategic Plan of Record’s (SPR)

  • Advance the deployment of GQRA’s communication strategy ensuring informed updates related to GQRA’s Strategic Roadmap​ and organizational decisions.

  • Support management of GQRA’s budget, forecasting, and headcount

  • Working with leadership to monitor and analyze headcount movements ensuring a strategic utilization of resources across the globe.

  • Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement, driving GQRA’s growth and competitive advantage.

  • Facilitate the development of an Operational Excellence program supporting improved GQRA process efficiencies.

  • Drive the adoption of new technologies such as AI, tools, and best practices to enhance operational efficiency and productivity Work with cross functional teams to analyze and transform operations and processes by identifying opportunities to drive lean & efficient optimizations.

  • Manage Great Place to Work (GPTW) action plans driving positive results.

  • Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to team members involved in transformation projects.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree or equivalent

  • 10+ years relevant experience in quality, business, or regulatory environment

  • Project Management certification preferred

  • Operational excellence training/certifications preferred

  • Experience in strategic planning and measuring value delivery preferred

The US pay range for this full-time position is $133,120.00 - $245,440.00/yr, plus eligibility for bonus, stock and benefits. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum new hire pay for the position across the relevant US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
