So, what’s the role all about?
As a Strategic Procurement Manager you will have a pivotal role where you’ll manage the procurement of software and cloud solutions, ensuring strategic alignment with company objectives. You will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and managing vendor relationships, cost optimization, and driving innovation in procurement practices.
It is a blend of technical expertise with procurement skills in engagement with both internal executive-level stakeholders and senior functions of NICE’s strategic vendors.
Your expertise will directly impact the company’s technology infrastructure and operational efficiency, ensuring the delivery of high-quality solutions within budget and on time.
How will you make an impact?
Vendor Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with key software and cloud providers. Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to ensure maximum value and compliance with company standards.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Work cross-functionally with senior leadership and other stakeholders to understand software and cloud needs, support strategic initiatives, and drive alignment on procurement strategies.
Procurement Strategy Development:
Develop and implement strategic sourcing strategies for software and cloud solutions that align with organizational goals, focusing on cost savings, risk management, and quality.
Contract and Compliance Management:
Collaborate closely with the legal department to ensure all contracts are compliant with company policies and regulations. Oversee contract lifecycle management and assess compliance risks.
Market Analysis and Innovation:
Stay up-to-date on technology trends, competitive market landscapes, and innovations within the software and cloud procurement space to ensure that the company remains at the cutting edge.
Budget and Cost Management:
Develop budgets for software and cloud procurement and ensure adherence to approved budgets. Identify and execute cost-saving opportunities.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
Analyze procurement data to monitor contract compliance, identify cost-saving opportunities, and assess vendor performance. Present findings and insights to senior management.
Have you got what it takes?
Educational Background:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, Legal, or a related field; MBA or relevant professional certification (e.g., CPSM) is a plus.
Experience:
Minimum 5–7 years of experience in strategic procurement, with a focus on software and cloud services in a high-tech or similar environment.
Technical Knowledge:
Strong understanding of software, cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), SaaS licensing models, and technology procurement best practices.
