Primary Job Function:

Strategic planning of pricing processes for manufactured, imported, exported, and sold products of the Company (medicines, medical devices, dietary supplements, cosmetic products); identification, assessment, and implementation of opportunities for output and access of the Company's products to the market in terms of pricing formation and analysis, risk assessment and forecasting of the Company's products.

Core Job Responsibilities:

Strategic level:

  • Systematic monitoring of trends in pricing and the drug supply system in Russia, preparation of analytical reports for the Company`s regional and global management. Development of a pricing strategy, identification, and assessment of opportunities for the release and entry into the market of the Company's products (medicines, medical devices, dietary supplements, cosmetic products), analysis, and minimization of potential risks.
  • Price impact analysis on the sales volume of the Company's products in business segments (hospital and retail segment), development of optimal approaches to pricing to strike a balance between price, volume, and profitability.
  • Interaction with the Global MAx team on various pricing issues.

Tactic level:

  • Organization and conducting of Pricing committees, expert assessment of considered pricing proposals (business cases), and price approval on the global level through the corporate pricing-management system.
  • State registration (re-registration) of maximum sale prices for the Company’s medicines included in the EDL list.
  • Expert assessment of business cases for launching products of the Company, calculation of forecasted prices for these products.
  • Calculation of transfer prices for import and export products of the Company, approval of these calculations at the global level through the corporate pricing system.

Operational level:

  • Preparation of analytical reports on implemented price initiatives and price effects, including presentation materials, for the Global management team.
  • Cross-functional interaction with key BUs of the company in connection with the development and implementation of a pricing strategy, as well as with the global Market Access team on various issues.
  • Checking and monitoring of actuality and correctness of register entries in the State Register of Manufacturers’ maximum sale prices for medicines included in the EDL list, amending to this register.
  • Updating information in the MDLP system on the maximum selling prices for the Company's medicines including EDL.
  • Changing the pricing conditions in the SAP system.

Key success factors:

  • In-depth knowledge of the main procedures, models, and features of pricing in the main segments of the pharmaceutical market (commercial & tender channels, hospital &retail segments) in the context of various pricing factors.
  • Expert understanding of the pricing policy, strategy, and pricing tactics of a pharmaceutical organization.
  • Possessing strong skills in setting and solving strategic, tactical, and operational tasks in the field of pricing in the pharmaceutical industry.

Experience required:

  • Professional work experience as a pricing manager, accountant, economist, or financial analyst is preferred.
  • Expertise in analysis of accounting data, calculation of production cost, calculation of product margins, and ability to work with primary accounting documents.
  • Analytical mindset.
  • Stress resistance, responsibility, team worker.
  • Strategic and out-of-the-box thinking.
  • Time management and project management skills.
  • Knowledge of MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI (advanced level);
  • Experience with databases: IQVIA, Headway Pharma.
  • English – Upper-Intermediate level.
