Squarespace is looking for a Strategic Pricing Lead to research, design, and evaluate initiatives that drive profitable growth across our portfolio of products and businesses. This role is a unique opportunity to shape our pricing strategies and act as a strategic advisor to the business, guiding key decisions that impact revenue and customer experience.

In this role, you will lead or support workstreams on projects related to Squarespace's pricing strategy, collaborating with product teams and business units on monetization efforts. You will join a centralized Commercial Strategy team and work closely with cross-functional teams to align pricing decisions with broader business objectives.

You will report to the Director of Commercial Strategy and work from our NYC office 2-3 days per week.

What You'll Do...Strategic Advisory

  • Partner with Product, Marketing, and Finance teams to shape strategic pricing initiatives that maximize growth and profitability.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor, providing actionable insights and thought leadership on monetization strategies.
  • Influence senior stakeholders by delivering clear, data-driven recommendations that align with the company’s long-term goals.

Market and Customer Insights

  • Conduct deep dives into pricing data, customer segments, and user behaviors to uncover strategic opportunities and understand what customers value most.
  • Leverage competitor analysis and market trends to inform dynamic and forward-looking pricing strategies.

Price Testing and Optimization

  • Lead the design, implementation, and evaluation of pricing experiments in collaboration with product teams.
  • Use test results to refine and optimize pricing strategies, ensuring they align with market positioning and customer expectations.

Scenario Modeling and Forecasting

  • Develop pricing models with Financial Planning & Analysis, incorporating variables like product features, customer lifetime value, and competitive dynamics.
  • Simulate pricing scenarios to assess potential impacts on revenue, margin, and customer acquisition.

Performance Monitoring and Reporting

  • Create and maintain dashboards that track key pricing metrics, trends, and outcomes.
  • Regularly present insights and strategic recommendations to stakeholders across the organization, including executive leadership.

What We're Looking For

  • 6-10 years of experience in strategic or analytical roles, with a focus on pricing, monetization, or commercial strategy.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in SQL and business modeling.
  • Demonstrated success driving pricing and monetization strategies for consumer SaaS subscription products.
  • Ability to synthesize competitor and market research into actionable strategies.
  • Experience presenting strategic recommendations to executive-level audiences.
  • A creative mindset with a strong curiosity about customer behaviors and value perception.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to distill complex data into clear and compelling narratives

Cash Compensation Range: $126,500 - $194,700 USD

The base salary for this position will vary based on job-related criteria including relevant skills, experience, and location, among other factors.

In addition to the cash compensation above (which includes base salary and, where applicable for eligible roles, may include on-target commissions or overtime pay), Squarespace employees are eligible to receive an incentive award as part of their total compensation.
