HWI has a fantastic opportunity to join our Pricing team as a Strategic Pricing Analyst.
Summary
The Strategic Pricing Analyst is accountable for the execution and measurement of pricing actions and strategies.  The position will use qualitative and quantitative techniques to help HarbisonWalker International determine and set competitive prices to gain market share and achieve revenue goals.

Responsibilities
  • Performing pricing analysis, guidance, and quote administration for glass and precast shape applications
  • Coordinating loading of pricing data into Oracle pricing module
  • Collaborating with field sales, marketing, and finance regarding customer pricing and profitability across all regions and markets
  • Participating in monthly analysis of price realization (erosion) on specific areas, quotes, market segments and/or customers
  • Supporting the execution of pricing actions that addresses identified pricing-related performance improvement opportunities
  • Contributing to documentation, communication and review of internal and external comparative price data, including wins and losses due to price
  • Assisting with the development of presentations and reports across the business and functions
  • Supporting the HarbisonWalker Business System (HBS) including 5S by identifying and implementing opportunities for continuous process improvement as metrics warrant

Requirements
  • B.S. degree in Finance, Marketing, Business Administration, Economics, or related field
  • MBA a plus
  • Requires computer operation skills including, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and advanced Excel expertise
  • Requires strong interpersonal and communications skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Requires strong analytical skills and the ability to assemble and quickly analyze data 
  • Requires experience in qualitative and quantitative analytics
  • Requires excellent organization skills with accurate and precise attention to detail
  • Ability to maintain professional composure in a dynamic work environment that often requires management/completion of multiple tasks
  • The Strategic Pricing Analyst requires two (2) – four (4) years of pricing/business analytical experience.

Physical and Environmental Requirements
  • Physical Activity: Requires more than 2/3 of time sitting, and talking or hearing; 1/3 to 2/3 of time standing, walking, using hands/fingers to handle and/or feel and reaching with hands and arms; less than 1/3 of time climbing or balancing and stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling.
  • Lifting: Requires lifting up to 10 pounds less than 1/3 of time.
  • Vision: Requires accurate close, distance and color vision, and the ability to focus.
  • Environment: Requires more than 2/3 of time in an office setting with very limited exposure; less than 1/3 of time exposed to wet/humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic/caustic chemicals, outdoor weather, and extreme heat/cold.
  • Noise: Requires exposure to moderate noise conditions.

Skills Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Marketing, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel expertise
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to analyze data quickly
  • Experience with qualitative and quantitative analytics
  • Excellent organization and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic work environment
  • Two to four years of pricing or business analytical experience
  • Master of Business Administration degree
