Key Responsibilities
- Develop and integrate deception objectives, narratives, and supporting CONOPs aligned with the commander's intent and broader OIE campaign.
- Analyze adversary decision-making processes (e.g., OODA loop) and intelligence collection methods to identify and exploit vulnerabilities.
- Create credible, sensor-verifiable deception narratives that are operationally supported.
- Coordinate MILDEC efforts with other Information-Related Capabilities (IRCs) including OPSEC, MISO, Cyber, and EW.
- Ensure synchronization of deception plans with real-world operations in coordination with OPSEC and Intelligence (J2).
- Monitor adversary behavior through intelligence collection; assess effectiveness using Measures of Performance (MOP) and Measures of Effectiveness (MOE), and adjust plans accordingly.
- Serve as a liaison with CCMD staff, subordinate units, and JIIM partners to ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
- Direct experience in strategic and operational-level MILDEC planning.
- Completion of one or more of the following courses:
- Joint Military Deception Training Course (JMTC)
- Service-Level MILDEC Course
- MILDEC Theater Operations Course (MDTOC)
- Expertise in the Joint Operations Planning Process (JOPP).
- Demonstrated experience drafting MILDEC plans, orders, and strategy assessments.
- Proven ability to operate effectively at the strategic/joint level with minimal supervision.
Preferred Qualifications
- Education in Strategic Communications, Information Operations, or National Security.
- Experience with Special Access Programs (SAP) or Special Technical Operations (STO).
- Operational experience in one or more of the following AORs: CENTCOM, INDOPACOM, AFRICOM.
- Prior experience supporting CCMD or Joint Staff-level initiatives.
- Familiarity with HUMINT or Counterintelligence integration.
