Blackstone Strategic Partners is a global capital solutions provider, with $100 billion of investor capital under management. Within Blackstone Strategic Partners, the GP Stakes team manages approximately $11B of AUM and acquires minority ownership interests in leading private market firms (“GPs”).
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and underwrite GP stakes investments in alternative asset management firms across asset classes, including private equity, growth equity, private credit, real estate, infrastructure, and secondaries.
- Contribute to key aspects of the investment process including:
- Conducting sector and asset class research leveraging industry reports and primary sources
- Analyzing public and private transaction valuation trends leveraging public filings and proprietary data
- Developing financial models and analyses, including discounted cash flows (DCFs), sum‑of‑the‑parts valuations, and scenario analysis
- Developing underwriting assumptions based on financial reporting and proprietary research
- Analyzing historical financials to understand performance trends and risks
- Participating in diligence calls to assess management teams and investment strategies
- Assisting with legal, accounting, and financial diligence coordination
- Review draft financial and legal diligence reports and legal documents.
- Coordinate with investment banks, accounting firms, and legal firms for third-party diligence.
- Draft memoranda for internal and external use.
- Presentation:
- Present investment research and valuation analysis during team discussions and formal investment committee meetings.
- Contribute to team discussions throughout the investment process to coordinate internal workstreams and drive decision making.
- Contribute to external diligence meetings with investment banks and counterparties.
- Monitor portfolio company performance and reporting.
- Participate in regular update calls with portfolio company management to understand latest financial performance and business initiatives.
- Conduct quarterly valuation on portfolio companies.
- Support replying to investor requests related to fund performance and asset performance.
- Produce bespoke analysis to address investor requests.
- Assist in fundraising and marketing process.
- Contribute to investor presentations used for roadshows and investor calls.
- Assist in drafting diligence questionnaires for upcoming fundraises.
- Perform other duties as needed.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Finance, Economics, or a related field.
Experience:
- Minimum 1 year of experience in job offered or related occupations (e.g., investment banking, management consulting).
- Minimum 1 year of experience using Microsoft Excel to build detailed financial or operating models, trading comparables, transaction comparables, or similar analyses.
- Minimum 1 year of experience using Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft Word to develop internal and external presentation materials.
- Minimum 1 year of experience using Factset, S&P CapitalIQ or similar market data providers to summarize performance trends, and identify business opportunities or risks.
- Experience can be concurrent.

Expected annual base salary range:
$100,000 - $140,000Actual base salary within that range will be determined by several components including but not limited to the individual's experience, skills, qualifications and job location. For roles located outside of the US, please disregard the posted salary bands as these roles will follow a separate compensation process based on local market comparables.
Additional compensation and benefits offered in connection with the role consist of comprehensive health benefits, including but not limited to medical, dental, vision, and FSA benefits; paid time off; life insurance; 401(k) plan; and discretionary bonuses. Certain employees may also be eligible for equity and other incentive compensation at Blackstone’s sole discretion.
