Your next role as a Miracle Maker 

Maravai LifeSciences is seeking a #MiracleMaker to join our Alliance Management team as a Strategic Partnerships Director.The Strategic Partners Director develops and executes TriLink's commercial strategy to drive product portfolio growth across the China market. This role leads market development, business development, channel strategy, strategic partnerships, and customer engagement to expand commercialization of mRNA technologies, reagents, and related life sciences products. The position serves as a senior commercial leader and subject matter expert, influencing cross-functional priorities and decisions through deep market knowledge, strategic relationships, and commercial expertise. The role partners with Executive Leadership, Product Management, Marketing, Operations, Legal, and Supply Chain to strengthen market presence, customer relationships, and business performance.

How you will make an impact: 

  • Develop and execute the commercial strategy for China, including market development, customer engagement, revenue objectives, channel strategy, and commercial initiatives aligned with business goals.
  • Develop senior-level strategic relationships with biotechnology, pharmaceutical, CDMO, research, and distribution partners to expand market adoption and drive long-term business growth.
  • Lead business development initiatives supporting commercialization of TriLink's mRNA technologies, reagents, and related products by identifying strategic opportunities and advancing complex customer engagements.
  • Develop and optimize channel strategies by evaluating distributor performance, expanding strategic partnerships, and strengthening market access.
  • Lead complex customer and partner engagements, including commercial negotiations and strategic agreements, in partnership with Legal and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Partner with Strategic Partnerships, Product Management, Marketing, Operations, Legal, and Supply Chain to support commercialization, pricing, licensing, supply planning, and strategic business initiatives.
  • Analyze market trends, customer requirements, competitive activity, regulatory developments, and emerging technologies to identify and recommend portfolio and market growth opportunities.
  • Provide leadership through commercial planning, forecasting, market intelligence, and executive reporting to support business growth and strategic decision-making.
  • Represent TriLink with strategic customers, distributors, industry organizations, conferences, and scientific meetings while strengthening market presence and customer relationships.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

 The skills and experience that you will bring: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Biology, Molecular Biology, Genomics, Biochemistry, or a related scientific discipline. Advanced scientific or business degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of commercial, business development, strategic partnerships, or related experience within life sciences, biotechnology, biopharmaceuticals, or a related industry.
  • Proven track record of driving business growth, market development, product adoption, and strategic commercial initiatives.
  • Demonstrated experience developing senior-level relationships with biotechnology, pharmaceutical, CDMO, research, distribution, and other industry partners.
  • Strong experience developing market and channel strategies, including working with distributors and strategic partners to expand market access and commercial reach.
  • Experience identifying, developing, negotiating, and advancing complex business opportunities, strategic partnerships, and commercial agreements.
  • Strong understanding of molecular biology and life sciences applications; experience with mRNA, nucleic acid technologies, biologics, cell and gene therapy, or related areas preferred.
  • Strong business acumen with excellent strategic, analytical, organizational, negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and lead cross-functional initiatives and operate independently in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
  • Proficiency with Salesforce or similar CRM platforms and Microsoft Office. Ability and willingness to travel as required.
