In this role, you will take the lead in developing and implementing national sales strategies that align with our corporate objectives, ensuring that DS Smith’s proven methodologies are embedded into everyday operations. You will work closely with Finance and Supply Chain teams to ensure accurate forecasting and planning, using data-driven insights to guide decisions. Your focus will be on unlocking growth opportunities by managing pipelines effectively, leveraging CRM tools, and identifying ways to add value through upselling and cross-selling within existing accounts. By applying structured account planning and thoughtful analysis, you will help secure sustainable share growth and deliver commercial success.
As a leader, you will play a key role in inspiring and supporting a talented team. You will translate strategic goals into clear, actionable plans and create an environment where people feel empowered to thrive. Through coaching, recruitment, and development, you will help your team grow and succeed in a collaborative and dynamic setting. Your team includes skilled Account Managers reporting directly to you, as well as a Customer Sales team with second-line reporting. Beyond your immediate team, you will contribute to regional senior management discussions, influencing broader business development and championing DS Smith’s values and leadership principles.

About You
You bring a strong commercial background and proven leadership experience, ideally supported by a university degree in business or a related field.
You have several years of experience in sales management, business development, or leading large customer accounts. You are comfortable working in a multinational, matrix organization and skilled at building relationships with senior stakeholders and customers.
Fluency in English and Danish is essential, and you are confident using Microsoft Office and CRM systems such as Microsoft Dynamics. A data-driven mindset will help you turn insights into action.
Above all, you are a strategic thinker who enjoys leading teams, managing complexity, and achieving results in a dynamic environment.

This is a permanent position with placement at one of our Danish offices, with occasional travels to other sites to be expected.
