Job Description

The Strategic Channel Representative is responsible for managing, expanding, and optimizing the BCC Software Partner Channel by attracting new clients and growing existing accounts. This role owns and orchestrates opportunities throughout the full sales cycle to drive successful outcomes that maximize revenue and profitability. The Strategic Channel Representative ensures a unified, partner-centric approach, supports the development of key dealers/partners, and advances upsell and cross-sell opportunities. 

Essential Functions

  • Identify and develop potential new clients by maintaining relationships with partners to ensure they are educated on our products allowing them to identify potential new customers.
  • Actively drive new business and sales through partners.
  • Manage existing partners, while building and maintaining relationships with key personnel.
  • Responsible for retention of current partner customers.
  • Coordinate with other departments (Sales Engineering, etc.) to provide proof of concept or product demo for new sales or upsell/cross-sell opportunities.
  • Ensure partners are proficient in explaining solutions by identifying needs and providing training and consultative services.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; high school diploma required with a minimum of two years' experience building and developing successful direct or indirect programs that exceed revenue goals.
  • Proven sales experience
  • Ability to travel 25% of the time
  • Strong verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills with solid business acumen.
  • Demonstrated expertise in partner development
  • Proven ability to articulate and maximize solution value for partners, prospects, and customers, driving customer satisfaction and increasing the value of BCC Software solutions.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here represent those necessary for an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. This role is primary office-based and involves extended periods of sitting, as well as frequent hand use for typing and writing. The position also requires the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Occasional standing, walking, or bending may be necessary. Some travel will be necessary for customer visits, industry or company events, and meetings. The employee must be able to lift up to 10 pounds regularly and up to 25 pounds occasionally, which may include office supplies or small office equipment. Adequate visual acuity is essential for tasks involving reading, writing, and computer work. 

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time exempt position. Some flexibility in hours is allowed, but the employee must be available during the “core” work hours of Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Additional hours including evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
